isn't it interesting how the poisoned apple in snow white can be seen as a reference to the forbidden fruit from the garden of eden and snow white in dragon games is turned into a snake by the evil queen...

the serpent in the garden of eden is the one to first tempt eve and set off the entire situation of humanity's first sin... similarly snow white's phone call at the beginning of dragon games pushes apple further into being manipulated by authority figures and doing so many messed up things and setting up the events of the special

and to pull in the allegory further... apple is first enthralled by an apple. she first sees an apple and follows it to the evil queen's mirror, and under the evil queen's manipulation it is that apple that she uses to break the mirror and free the evil queen...

so not only is her pursuit of the poisoned apple as a whole/her entire destiny causing her big "sins", but her physically taking an apple is what allows her to commit her first major "sin"— freeing the evil queen from the mirror prison

i also think its interesting how both the evil queen and snow white can fit that serpent role— its interesting in terms of the biblical allegories too since the devil can come in multiple forms. similarly, the evil queen and snow white manipulate apple in different ways, but ultimately their motives are both the same when you boil it down: make raven evil. both are also wrong and lead to apple's downfall

I kept thinking about this post in specific because like I remembered something that Daring said in Legacy Day but like in the practice Legacy Day, that he said and I quote from the episode "I pledge to be just like my old man" and then he starts describing King Charming one word and then good-looking.

So I imagine that a thing that happened like that post where he sees another side of his dad that he probably didn't know and directed at him. I think King Charming was probably his idol, his role model and then he broke all of that.

How Daring would feel??? Maybe he had seen his Father angry but not that angry and he always tried to make his father proud again so that he will forgive him and be in his favor again.

I know, I totally know (it's my hc of which I've talked about probably because good hc) that Daring's vital force was his father's praise, it was like the air he breathed and then everything he worked on was taken away and given to Darling, including and most important his father's praise.

But I also know that he wouldn't feel angry at Darling, he would be mad at himself because he failed, failure and he would believe every single word that his father screamed at him.

Like if what happened at the Dragon games made him feel bad, his father slapping him would be the breaking point to himself, because he wanted to be like his father but I don't think that he wanted to be like him when he discovered that other side of his dad and then he would be more angry at himself because what if his siblings had already experimented this and he didn't protect them???

I love making a post of a post because I inspired myself with my own post to make more of something. In this case more Daring angst.

Dexter is just there, like he was supposed to be the second best and now he's also supposed to be the second best but instead of being the second to Daring, he's going to have to be the second to Darling.

And probably King Charming would push Darling to her limits to make up for lost time, and she would be happy at first to have classes like her brothers had but then she doesn't like it, because it isn't fun, it's just an act, her dad wants her to be a second Daring because his first project failed.

Because she learned that KC didn't care about his children, he cared about his reputation, the family's reputation, KC wants everything to be perfect and according to plan and he also adapts even if he doesn't like it. Did he like that Darling was the "Prince" Charming of the Snow White's tale? No, but if destiny and Snow White said that that's how it had to be, he follows and re-adapt.

And I think what he did and said to Daring in the previous post is the lightest he could do (and say probably), because he didn't disinherit him (yet) he just threw him again like that toy story scene where Andy says "You're broken. I don't want to play with you anymore" exactly like that.

Like their staying at their Family's house while they return to EAH was probably a nightmare for the three of them. Very lovely everything

I get why daring had to be shelved for dragon games but considering he's had a pre-established connection to a dragon (that used to be EVIL QUEEN'S DRAGON no less) felt like it could've been so interesting to explore!! Yeah he might suck riding a dragon but he's had more experience with them than anyone else on the teams sans Raven

...From what I can see, only girls were on the teams. There is literally no way that canon him would be able to be on a team.

Dragon games is an amazing special. I have so much things to say but I have no idea where to say

thinking about how in the og snow white, snow white cannot resist her temptation for a white apple w red cheeks, something i noticed mirrored her own appearance. thinking about that and the way the evil queen offers and presents her own goals under the guise of having the same intentions as apple, and that is enough to tempt apple into accepting the evil queen's words— ultimately "poisoning" her mindset and leading to the chaos of dragon games and her own downfall— nearly losing raven's friendship, the school she loves so much being in danger, getting physically poisoned, etc.

I never liked Darling's and Raven's default hairstyles, I found the Dragon Games ones to suit them much better, especially Darling's.
