Yeah the first time you ovulate on dragon hrt is pretty rough. You might wanna keep some oversized shirts to cover the bloating of your belly but it's really better to stay home. The ovipositor is really sensitive when it's new so there's not really any undies or pants you can wear comfortably once it starts to reach its full size. Hell, even skirts are gonna rub against the tip. No, yeah a lot of new dragons try and hold them in, that's just gonna make you get huge and even more achey. Just tease it a little with your fingers and push when you get the urge to push. It does hurt a little but it feels super good also. If it helps, you can use a silicone toy or a plushie you aren't particularly attached to. I wouldn't reccomend being anywhere near anyone else your first few times. You'll probably hurt them when you really get laying and you won't be able to stop. Yeah it'll be like this every month.
