Jigen's cold-blooded. He can't blush. So his horns glow and make a quiet humming sound when he would be blushing i guess. oh yeah, the elusive 'Bangs Jigen' is back! give it up for 'Bangs Jigen!'

Jigen teeth. I was referencing orc tusks. I'd've added more teeth but there was no space. i love cool monster teeth. I feel like they look... gross? its definitely the shading.

the colors... i need to work on the colors. posted the sketch cuz it looked better.

Oh yeah happy belated New Year everybody! I should draw his looong dragon form since its year of the snake, huh?

Another Dragon Jigen design update!/random art

I finally cracked the code! He just needed face spines! Also I turned those tusks upward and they look sooo much cooler now (imo).

In the second image I was going for a Dragonborn look? I think I might keep the purple on blue color scheme, I like it.

Third image: yeah, thats a chibi dragon version. I was inspired by the Rayquaza pose (IYKYK).

BTW! I'm working on the old Goemon WIP tonight so maybe I'll finish and post that! But I just needed to post this first.

A line-up for the monster/fantasy au! (This'll be in WIP hell forever!!)

I finally figured out Goemon's, Lupin's and Zenigata's monsters:

Goemon: Insect-folk

Lupin: Dullahan (not pictured)

Zenigata: Lizard-folk (in a human disguise)

Everyone else is the same, Shapeshifter Fujiko and Dragon Jigen. Can't wait to solidify/clean up these designs but I bit off more than I can chew drawing this in two days so

Featuring Lupin this time! I gave Jigen a more alligator/crocodile look this time to see how I liked it on his looong boi™️ body. I think the head's too big, but I'm still experimenting... I love the scales tho!

Here it is! The Lupin Fantasy AU lore/info dump!

The Premise/Setting:

So in this au, Lupin and the gang live in a magical fantasy world. A thousand years ago(?), two meteorites crashed into earth, containing magical technology. They were said to be blessings sent from the gods. Last year, a third meteorite hit, and inside was Lupin.

Because of the magic tech, the medieval fantasy world began accelerating toward steampunk-ish fantasy.

The Characters:

Lupin's a magician-thief who uses his magic to steal stuff.

Jigen's a dragon and he's a fortune teller/psychic on the side when he isn't guarding his(/lupin's) horde.

Goemon is just Goemon...? (I haven't fully decided what fantasy flair I want to give him. I like the bug/mothmon idea from the "halloween" art but I'm still iffy on keeping it or changing it.) All I can say is he was a dragon-hunter and bodyguard for a princess before he met Lupin.

Fujiko is an eldritch shapeshifter creature but she usually stays in a Harpy form. (She has other forms that I'll draw later!) She's a shapeshifter for hire when she's not with Lupin.

Zenigata is I guess whatever counts as a lawman in fantasy medieval worlds? (knight/guard?) And he has a life sustaining device implanted in his chest so he'll be alive to chase Lupin forever!! (I gotta figure out something cooler for zeni too but that's all I got rn)

The Plot:

TL;DR: The meteorite trip made Lupin's magic go haywire, go figure. Four legendary rings can help fix his problem. The Lupgroup might as well get them before they get into the wrong --Pycal's -- hands. And so begins Lupin’s adventure of a lifetime. 

Lifetime? Lifetimes? It's hard to keep track when you’re an immortal amnesiac.
