guys i came up with background for Bound For Providence!
Her name is Providence.
At least, that’s what sailors take to calling her, this lord of the sea.
She comes in without warning, her wingspan so vast it churns up crushing waves, her eyes sharp enough to pick out even the lowliest cabin boy. Silver feathers glint like stars except when they don’t, and in those moments they shine like a squall coming in from the north, sleet and rain and vicious winds
They say her horde is larger than any other.
They say that she is older than any other.
This dragon, she is the key to salvation for so many damned that roam the seas.
Her name is Providence.
Sailors whisper about her in the taverns. They spin their stories to unsuspecting cabin boys. They speak of the way that sunlight turned her wings to diamonds, even as they dipped into the darkest blues of the sea and brought down entire ships, entire fleets.
She is of a different sort than most dragons these days. She is from before the Golden Era. When she screams, it is as though the entire world is ripping apart.
They say that one man is set to make her scream.
They say that he wants her horde.
This dragon, she is being hunted, and the man on her tail refuses to give up.
Her name is Providence.
It’s said that her scales have grown soft over the years. Her feathers no longer hide armor, but paper thin flesh.
There is an order in the world. A balance, even. Providence guides the storms as they rage, red dawn light making her feathers burn. Treasures untold are hidden on her island, and her island is hidden by the raging waters of the Cursed Sea. She rules over man and beast and monster. She rules over them all.
They say her days are numbered.
They say her time is running out.
This dragon, she will not back down.
Her name is Providence.
The water runs red with her blood.
He turns her fang into a cutlass, her feathers into decoration. The most notorious pirate to sail the seas, fearsome and cruel and strong. Perhaps, though, not as smart as he would like to believe, for with Providence gone, the way to her horde also slept out of existence. Only the damned and the dead can maneuver through the Cursed Sea, after all, and while he may have been set on a path straight to Hell, that captain is still but a man with an aimless crew.
They say, though, that she has an egg.
They say that it will know the way to Providence.
This dragon, her horde will still be found – even if every sailor worth their salt be drowned in the process.

this mess of a beast is the cook’s dragon! he can’t do a whole lot, but he loves his berry hoard an awful lot and is quite fond of keeping the kettle fire burning, even when there’s nothing in the pot

“I'm getting sick and tired of the Judgement Day” Asuka says as she lays her head against her pillow. “Me too, they're really annoying” Kairi adds in as well. “We're getting those tag titles back from them even if it kills us” her big friend tells her seriously. “Yeah! We gotta focus on getting the gold!” Kairi says in agreement. “Are you sure you could focus?” Asuka asks her seriously. “Yeah, why would you ask me that?” the younger woman asks her curiously. “Cause it feels like you're hiding something…” her friend points out to her.
“What? No I'm not!” Kairi says, clearly lying. Asuka sits back up and gets in the younger woman's personal space. “I know when you're lying, little sister” she tells her with a sharp grin. The pirate princess tries to look away but the empress grabs her face and makes her look at her. “Spill” Asuka says to her quietly. “It happened last week!” Kairi blurted out to her. “What happened?” The older woman asks her seriously. “After I left you at medical, I tried to find the parking lot but got lost around the arena. Then I saw Ilja go up to the roof so I followed him up there cause I was curious.
He was just looking at the moon and asked me to look at it with him. It was so beautiful! One thing led to another and we danced on the rooftop” Kairi explains to her. “Then what happened?” Asuka asks her curiously. “He took me to my car, kissed my hand and left” the younger woman explained to her friend. “He kissed your hand?!?! Why would he do that?!?” the older woman asks in a confused tone. “Maybe he's a gentleman! Not all of our coworkers are total creeps” Kairi answers with a huff.
“Wait a minute, you only act defensive with a guy if you have a crush on him… do you have feelings for Ilja?” Asuka asks her seriously. “Maybe…” Kairi mumbles as she starts to blush. “I fucking knew it! Little sister has a crush on a dragon!” the older woman says as she starts to laugh. “It's not funny!” The younger woman says with a whine. “Oh it definitely is! Out of all the people on the roster, you pick him?” Her friend asks through laughter. “You can't say anything since you're with Alexa!” Kairi points out to her. “Hey, nothing is wrong with my little pixie” Asuka tells her seriously.
“She carries around a doll… constantly” Kairi says to her friend. “That's her comfort item” Asuka explains to her. “Ok yet you don't see me making fun of you for being with her” the younger woman tells her seriously. “That's because we both know that I'd hurt you if you did” the older woman tells her bluntly. “Then why are you judging me?” the pirate princess asks, clearly confused. “Cause I'm basically your sister and I like to fuck with you” the empress answers with a Cheshire grin. It took a minute but Kairi let it sink in before letting out a gasp. “You are a bully!” She yells as she grabs a pillow and starts beating Asuka with it.
“I do it out of love!” Asuka says while laughing again. “You're so mean!” Kairi says as she continues hitting her with the pillow. She continues to hit her until the older woman falls off the bed with a thud. “Oh shit! You ok?” Her friend asks as she looks over the bed. “Boo!” The older woman yells out, scaring her. “Ahh!” Kairi yelps out, causing Asuka to laugh yet again. “Works every time!” She says as she gets back onto the bed. “One day, I won't be around for you to tease” the younger woman says a bit seriously. “Oh please, as if you'll ever leave WWE” Asuka says with a snort.
Kairi pouts which Asuka notices automatically. “Oh, I'm just teasing you! No need to be a little party pooper” she says as she brings the younger woman in for a hug. Her friend doesn't say anything as she leans into the older woman's embrace. “Also, I've seen how Ilja acts outside of the ring so he seems like a nice guy for you” the empress whispers to her. “You don't think it's weird that I'm falling in love with someone five years younger than me?” The pirate princess asks as they both break apart.
“Nah, that just means you're a cougar!” Asuka says teasingly, causing Kairi to blush again. “Oh my god, stop!” She whines as she covers her face with her hands. “Why? You can show him what a pirate really does” the older woman says with a smirk. “Do you act this way around Alexa?” The younger woman asks her curiously. “All the time! She likes it when I'm weird” Asuka says as she lays back against the headboard. “I question you sometimes” Kairi says as lays down at her friend's feet. “You've been saying that for years” the older woman says with a laugh.
“Anyways, are you excited for our Japan tour starting next week?” Asuka asks her curiously. “Yeah! I can't wait to visit my favorite spots!” Kairi tells her happily. “Maybe you should show them to Ilja. Let him see your world and who knows, one of them might seal the deal” her friend offers to her. “I don't know… my favorite places to go are kinda boring to most people” the younger woman says a bit worryingly. “He seems like he would enjoy those things so I wouldn't worry about it” Asuka says with a shrug.
“You're right, can we order food now? I'm getting kinda hungry” Kairi says as she pats her stomach. “Sure, we can also talk about your future wedding plans too!” Asuka says teasingly as she grabs the hotel phone. “Oh god please no…” the pirate princess says with a whine as her friend calls in their orders. At least her best friend is ok with her crush on Ilja…
“Ugh what a long day” Kairi says with a sigh as she walks down the hallway. She finished her match against Roxanne earlier and was victorious. Sadly, it was short lived when she was attacked by Raquel right afterwards. Her best friend, Asuka, came to help but she got attacked as well and was sent to medical. Kairi wanted to stay with her but Asuka insisted that she wait for her at the hotel. Now, she is currently walking around the arena and trying to remember where the parking lot is.
“This is like a maze! I'll never get out of here” Kairi says to herself as she keeps walking around. She's about to round the corner when she spots someone by the door that leads to the stairway that goes to the roof of the building. She quickly hides behind the corner but looks around it to see that it's her coworker, Ilja Dragunov. Kairi watches as he opens the door and quickly shuts it behind him. “Why is he going to the roof?” She mumbles to herself as her curiosity grows.
Kairi knows she shouldn't spy on a coworker but she was always up for an adventure. With her mind made up, she decides to follow Ilja and opens the door. She quietly shuts the door behind her and looks up to see Ilja going up three flights of stairs. “Why are there so many stairs?” Kairi asks herself with a whine as she starts going up the steps. She tries to be inconspicuous as she follows the younger man up the stairs. It takes several minutes but she makes it to the top. “They need to put an elevator here or something” Kairi says through pants.
After she's done catching her breath, Kairi looks up and sees the door that goes outside. “Time to see what he's doing” she whispers as she opens the door and goes onto the roof. It's a bit chilly and windy outside so she zips up her jacket. She looks around and spots the Mad Dragon standing on the edge of the building. Kairi's eyes widen as she automatically assumes the worst. Slowly, she makes her way to Ilja until she's only a few feet behind him. “Ilja” She says, catching the younger man's attention. “Oh, hello Kairi! I was wondering how long it took for you to find me” Ilja says, causing Kairi to blush a bit.
“You knew I was following you?” She asks, causing the younger man to laugh a bit. “Your whole persona is being a pirate! It was only a matter of time before your curiosity led you to me” Ilja explains, causing Kairi to blush from embarrassment even more. “I'm sorry! I was curious but also worried you might think you're an actual dragon and jump” she explains to him truthfully. “Trust me when I say I have no plans of jumping off buildings anytime soon” he promises to her. “That's a relief…what were you looking at before I found you?” Kairi asks him curiously.
“Come here and I'll show you” Ilja tells her with a smile. Kairi was a bit hesitant at first but she walks to the edge of the roof where the younger man is. “Look at all the lights down there, looks really small from up here” he tells her quietly. The older woman looks down and is amazed by all the bright lights they can see from here. “It's beautiful” she says under her breath. “Not as beautiful as the one up there” Ilja says as he points into the distance. Kairi looks and gasps upon seeing the moon. It was full and bright as it shined bright through the clouds. “Oh wow, it's absolutely breathtaking” she says to Ilja.
“It absolutely is” he says as he looks at Kairi. “Say Kairi, have you ever danced in the moonlight?” Ilja asks her curiously. “No, I haven't” she tells him truthfully as she looks at him. “Would you like to dance with me up here? Only if you want to” the Mad Dragon admits with a slight blush. “Huh, who would've thought that a dragon can blush?” Kairi thought in her head. “I'd love to” she answers him with a smile. The younger man smiles as he backs up from the edge of the building. Ilja pulls out his phone and puts a familiar song on.
It was “A Merry-Go-Round Of Life” which Kairi knew by heart. She remembers listening to it constantly when it first came out years ago. “This is my favorite song…” she says quietly, clearly surprised. “The best way to dance is to just embrace the music and not make a sound” Ilja tells her as he offers his hand. The older woman smiles as she walks forwards, takes the Mad Dragon's hand and they start to dance…

Kairi feels like she's in the clouds dancing with Ilja, like nothing else exists except them. She wishes it never ends but unfortunately, that's how songs go. They stop dancing once the song ends but still keep their hands together. “That was amazing, thank you” she tells him sweetly. “It was my pleasure Kairi, may I please escort you to your car?” Ilja asks her curiously. “You don't have to do that!” She tells him nicely. “It's only fair since you danced with me plus it'll make me feel better knowing you went to your car safely” the younger man admits to her. “Can he be any more nice?!?!” Kairi thought to herself.
“Lead the way!” Kairi says with a laugh. “With pleasure” Ilja says as they both start walking with his hand still holding hers. They safely get off the roof and walk down the three flights of stairs. Kairi felt a little embarrassed that Ilja found the parking lot with ease while she couldn't remember where it was earlier. “Here you are, safe and sound” He says to her with a smile. “You know, this started off as a bad night but you made it better” Kairi says sweetly, causing Ilja to blush a bit. “I'm glad that I could make a lovely pirate smile. I'll see you next week, Kairi” he says as he kisses her hand and leaves the parking lot.
Kairi watches him go and lets out a happy sigh. She then gets into her rental car and just processes what happened tonight. She won her match but got beat up afterwards. Then she couldn't find the parking lot but decided to follow her younger coworker up to the roof of the building. She then dances with him and has the time of her life. Lastly, he takes her to the parking lot and kisses her hand. The whole time Kairi spent with Ilja, she was slowly developing feelings for him… which she just realized at this moment.
“Oh my god” she whines as she presses her head against the steering wheel. Kairi has feelings for Ilja?!? She's barely spoken to him before tonight so why is this happening?!? Before she lets herself wonder any further, she decides that tonight is not the night to think about this. “I gotta talk to Asuka about this…” she says to herself as she starts the car and drives out of the parking lot. Kairi had an amazing night but it left her with questions that she knows she can't answer by herself.
