It's been a while, so I thought I would update my Writeblr Intro.
I'm Katie! You might also know me as Katelynn, K. E. Koontz, or, if you've been here a while, as Abby. You can also just call me Abalonetea, if you want!
I used to work with horses and then my health took a big turn and I had to retire from that and jump headfirst into the writing world. I've been in the industry for about fourteen years now and have made a living doing everything from ghostwriting to formatting to being the head editor at two different companies.
My own personal goals are to get Full Moon Fiction and Rose Romantics Publishing up and running, but both are pretty slow-going because I'm the only person in my family of three with a job. Two jobs, actually, both full time, and I'm trying very hard to get a third going.
I bounce from fantasy to horror and everything in between when it comes to genres, and you can find my published works here: CLICK ME FOR AN AMAZON LINK! My current goal is to get ten reviews on all of my books, but that's looking to be pretty far off. Oops!
We have a gaggle of cats, most of them medically-challenged rescues, and a lovely little pittie mix who thinks she's ALSO a cat. I have a patreon, and a ko-fi, and this super cool website over here (fullmoonfiction.com) if you're interested in seeing parts of my passion project come to life.
My two biggest hopes for the year is being able to take my mother to Cancun (her dream vacation that she recently admitted she doubts she'll ever have) and my sister to Alaska (also her dream vacation) during salmon spawn season.
I'm slow to answer messages because I'm either Always Working or Always Flaring Up but I love getting them anyway, and I'm a huge advocate of snail-mail being a thing we bring back.
Dinosaurs, werewolves, and cherries are some of my favorite random aesthetic interests, and I used to live off of energy drinks but have been diligently switching to coffee for my wallet's sake. : )
Every summer, I hose the @writeblrsummerfest and this summer is no exception. The theme is going to be 'abandoned carnival' and I actually have a lot planned for it that will probably result in me biting off way more than I can choose, but I'm excited for it anyway.
