they are the same size. I take no constructive criticism
and the last set of our fr clan
Comparison human outline is 1.8m/ 6 foot
post 3 of 3 (1 - 2 - 3)
Soulsight, female pearlcatcher (arcane)
Songspark, male skydancer (ice)
Searstorm, female imperial (wind) (with a length of 30.12 m/ ~98′10″ and a wingspan of 14.27m/ ~46′10″ she has a wingspan: body ratio of 0.47 : 1 and it’s ridiculous. Trying to work out these proportions was hard.)
Starbind, male skydancer (lightning)
Siderealsapphire, male ridgeback (shadow) (where with the others I don’t count tail tufts towards total length, here it’s the snout beyond the skull)
Sylvansusurrance, female coatl (nature)
I was curious how big everyone in my clan was in relation to each other and...Have nocs always been that small?! I always imagined Nilith and Draco being at least around the size of Seyfried but in fact...they could hide in his coat!!
Second set of our dragons
Comparison human outline is 1.8m/ 6 foot

Sleepsacred, female spiral (plague)
Sorrowsound, female skydancer (plague)
Smokescreen, female nocturne (fourth egg hatched, ice)
Salientslaughter, female ridgeback (plague)
Seaglance, male spiral (water)
Haven’t actually posted any of our fr stuff here before, whoops, I guess.
Our full clan’s size chart, along with the individual ones (with a larger version of the smaller dragons for image details’ sake.) We had it sitting around in a rougher state for. quite a while. Cleaned it up properly last year, and fixed up some minor errors and cleaning up some lines in the last few days.

Shadelit, male guardian (progenitor, ice)
Sunhunt, female mirror (progenitor, ice)
Snapfreeze, male mirror (first found egg, light)
Solarsurge, male guardian (second found egg, shadow)
Skysearch (third found egg, wind)
(one might wonder “wait why did you draw the two male skydancers with four fingers and a thumb but the female with three fingers and a thumb instead?” and the answer is, “look, I don’t know why this is a Feature of Skydancers, I didn’t make this up, I looked at the official art and Drew What I Saw, even if it baffles me eternally”)
Woke up early and the only productive thing I did was make a comprehensive dragon size comparison table 🙃.
Based on the designs, there seems to be two types of dragons: box and noodle. Box-types are heavier, denser built, and more the heavy-hitters. Noodle-types are slimmer in built, and were probably bred for speed and agility.
Note: these are only all the dragons that are seen/featured in RARTS
*arranged by size and type*
Box-types:
Vhagar
Vermithor
Meleys
Dreamfyre
Seasmoke
Syrax
Vermax
Arrax
Noodle-type
Silverwing
Caraxes
Sunfyre
Tessarion
Moondancer
*some dragons like Meleys seem to be a mix of both. Whether intentional or not, Meleys’ body seems to be more box-like than Caraxes or Sunfyre, despite notably being the fastest dragon. For simplicity, Meleys is counted as a box-type.*
Early 127 AC:
Vhagar > Vermithor > Silverwing = Dreamfyre > Meleys > Caraxes >>> Syrax = Seasmoke > Sunfyre >>>> Vermax > Tessarion >>>> Arrax = Moondancer
Note: The size comparison will be updated alongside the timeskips in RARTS, as events continue to unfold, and dragons and characters begin to appear. Further information on sizes and wingspan comparisons will be reblogged onto this post once revealed in RARTS.
Got curious what was the biggest and smallest of my lore dragons. I kinda figured that Taylor was the biggest and Kuro.Jr was the smallest but I never thought that Veilspun would be tiny.
