blotched/classic tabby variation is so wide and I think it needs to be appreciated. Somewhat obviously our sketching is primarily focused on the torso area. Obviouslt not got repreesentatives of all the sorts- I don't have the hollow variants drawn, though you can see them here and there in the photos The photos are ones I have accumulated over the last few years trawling through the rspca and aspca, along with various other sources. (This does unfortunately mean I am entirely stuck going with photos that at least mostly show the patterning, rather than having nice clear side photos to work with)

I have my fun clump up in the top right area of the photoboard that's got some real individuals, very unique. Blotched machine got drunk and half-arsed it.

It'd be interesting, maybe, to look at family lines and see if the patterning has trends that could link to genetic factors, or if it is just random chance in what variant pattern the skin thickens in, like fingerprints. Can't do that with the cats in my folders though since, well, shelter cats.

(Also, did not include any 'swirl' type spotted mackerels, since I'm, well, not counting them as Blotched, but it'd also be interesting to find out if there is even just a higher correlation of them in Mcmc/ mackerel-carrying-blotched lines.)

Does anyone have any favourite variations of blotched?

spent almost 14 hours doing this image of a dog someone we know owns to get used to using both HiPaint and a stylus with our phone. This because we learned that the rubber pen-end styluses work with our phone and there are some free art programs for phones.

Printed and framed it made a pretty respectable early christmas present for her owner!

Finally we are free from the situation where we must try to draw on our phone using our finger in our notes program (hard, feels bad, awful) because we don't have access to our computer (or a sketchpad but trying to draw on paper can also be tricky when out, with all the flippy pages or running out of room in the book or nothing to rest it on or wanting to do colour but you only have a greylead)

Did this one a bit ago but I think we all know I am very bad at getting around to posting things Poptab the theoretically-canon/non-canon cat who exists somewhere in the nebulous universal expanses of the post-canon of the @steelheart-redux universe (it is early days in the production side but if you want some people-and-mech-dragons comic fiction to read... go read go read go read) She is just a Little Guy. I do not have much practice in drawing kittens, but I think Kitten Poptab turned out okay. Fluffie.

Doghead the very extremely Shape thylacine has never seen a robin that looks like this. Rory the magic robin is here because... Magic probably. Doghead belongs to @lazer-t, Rory belongs to Birdy10

We initially were going for an Angled shot when we started with Doghead's base shape... and then we entirely failed to follow through so Doghead ended up with a tail that I feel is shorter and bulkier looking than it should be.

Doghead is VERY excellent Shape.

Background is actually based off of a photo we took at Cradle Mountain, Tasmania; it seemed a fitting sort of thing.

It's Bowo again! Our cretur is acting as steed on an adventure with Noctilucas's Blip (small and blue) after an attack on us of Blip painting Bowo's nails. They have run into Crowshadow (Cream front blue back) belonging to raysee_crowlei and Annie (Black-orange-cinnamon-blue cat) belonging to coolclaws7

It's Zarian and Arthur belonging to @emberglowfox again! Across two different iterations of their universe.

Me just doing the. reflecting/windowing to a different universe entirely on the fly, I do not expect the angles being reflected are accurate. On the other hand the shards of window/glass/hole in the universal fabric DO actually fit together into a square if pieced together right?

Tried including Redux Arthur's crutches but our brain glitched out on how the things would look at the angles in relation to the positioning of the wrist/hand angles and I gave up after a bit. OG Arthur did not present this problem due to not having crutches at all.

How did Arthur even end up in this image when it was originally just meant to be OG Zarian's toes/shadow and Redux Zarian reflection? I dunno but it worked out fine crutches aside.

Here is a crop with OG Zarian's shadow more visible. It probably should have covered OG Arthur's hands more, thinking about angles, but ah well:
