I hate that leak because I'm sick of bipedal fire starters, and I absolutely hate wrestling. As if it isn't bad enough being a wrestler, it's gotta be a wrestler that's extra cheap.It's got terrifying hands, an ugly face, and it looks like a man in a cheap costume. It shoots fire out of its pelvic region, so that means it would have to thrust to attack or punch. Plus with torracat, it shows more than enough potential for it to stay quadrupedal, and have just as much character as any other design

Well then I don’t know what to tell you my guy.  All the traits you described in Beltigre are the ones that make them appealing to me.  I like the goofy fun of wrestling, the face looks silly but neat to me, I think it makes sense to look like a costume because Beltigre’s gimmick is that they are a wrestler in costume, and the odd flaming title belt just completes the silly image that I just adore about them. (I agree about the hands though, I not super into that part of the design)

See the thing about pokemon is that there’s so many of em out there that we can all pick and choose our favorites and least favorites.  Personally, I don’t give much of a hoot about quadrupedal mammal pokemon, and likes of Houndoom and Lycanroc are boring to me.  But to someone else those are their favorite pokemon, and I can recognize the traits in a design that I dislike can be exactly the traits that another person adores.  So when I see a pokemon design I dislike, I don’t feel any major need to complain and gripe about it.  There’s no point, they can’t all be catered to my tastes.  But I’ve become frustrated lately because it feels like the designs I enjoy always seem to get a lot of flak from the community at large, and I just don’t understand all the anger directed at them.  My favorites have always been the Grimers, Trubbishes, and Beltigres of the pokemon world; so it’s sort of disappointing to see the pokemon you like get ragged on by everyone else.
