amber eyes WIDENED when a curiously familiar smell registered in MATATH’s brain. could it be? the DRAGON walked deeper into the woods, following the faint SCENT that triggered a natural response in her. the TRAIL was still fresh, so the CREATURE - whether a DRAGON after all or not - had to be around SOMEWHERE. she didn’t DARE call out, the fear of a TRAP too strong for her to act bravely. instead, MATATH waited, lurking in the DARKNESS just beyond the visibility of a human eye.

Antonio - it slips out in a quiet moment before he realises what he's saying and he promptly turns scarlet and falls over himself until Nina reassures him she feels the same.

Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background

Nina, if only because Antonio doesn't really like modern technology - he opts for the classic photo in the wallet instead.

Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror

Nina, mostly, though Antonio will reply if he's in a particularly good mood.

Who buys the other cheesy gifts

Antonio - he knows how she likes knick-knacks and will present her with all manner of little gifts he thinks she might like.

Who initiated the first kiss

Nina, at the end of their first little date; Antonio spends the rest of that day in a sort of daze and keeps smiling to himself when he thinks about it.

Who kisses the other awake in the morning

Antonio, since he'll be going to bed in the mornings, he'll climb in beside Nina and give her lots of little kisses.

Who starts tickle fights

Nina; Antonio isn't really ticklish, but I can see her being determined to get him with it anyway.

Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower

Nina, mostly, though after some time, Antonio starts as well.

Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch

More Nina just generally surprising Antonio in the middle of the night, since he can neither be up during the day, nor eat food.

Who was nervous and shy on the first date

Antonio, since he's been so emotionally constipated for so long, he suddenly has no idea what to do with himself around this sweet, pretty lady.

Who kills/takes out the spiders

If Nina's afraid of them, Antonio's happy to throw them out. If she's not bothered then spiders are probably left to their own spidery business.

Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk

Antonio; he doesn't drink often so he can't hold his drink too well and he just... he loves her so much. She's so lovely and he really loves her, y'know? It's been so long since he felt this way and she just makes him so, so happy.

Moby caught herself staring but also admitted to herself that she couldn’t look away. Nina frequently wore thick sweaters that sometimes hid the curves of her body, but when the dragoness lifted her arms above her head to fiddle with one of the antiques sitting on a high shelf, Moby caught glimpse of the soft, pudgy belly peeking above the waistband of Nina’s pants. 

She blushed heavily, quite aware of the heat collecting in her face. Since their first meet, Moby had easily considered the dragon one of the most beautiful ladies she’d ever laid her eyes on. Encouraged further by the sight of her midriff, the shapeshifter found herself at a loss for words and sighed dreamily.

“No, no, I’m just a friend of the host...” A pause. “Well, the host’s daughter  to be exact. Lucy and I went to boarding school together when we were  girls.”  A pleasant childhood the girls had held together, even with the differences  between the families’ wealth and status. She had still been invited to balls  and events held by the family, slowly but unknowingly, began climbing the  social ladder which offered her the opportunity to fully debut to society when  she and Lucy became of age. Of course, Mina had already had her eyes on  Jonathan years before that happened, it surprised no one when he requested  permission to court her months later.  “I’m just a school teacher, and do the odd bit for my fiance when I can.”

[ peninnah shouldn’t even meet her gaze. she isn’t supposed to. it’s impolite for someone in her position to so much as look in the direction of royalty. let alone the princess. however, the woman practically lights up like the sun itself as she walks the street. it was rare to even see the princess. then, suddenly, the princess’ gaze locks with her. ]

[ peninnah freezes instantly, then ducks her head down. ] ❛ i-i’m sorry, m’lady. ❜

   [ liane loved the kingdom and people in it, but often kept to herself. the kingdom was always sunny, and the plants in it grew beautifully -- it was something the princess had always taken care in. she decided to take a break, walk through the streets of the kingdom and look around; her attention was caught by a rather beautiful stranger. ]

   [ smiling lips turned down slightly at her words, head shaking. ] “you have nothing to apologise for.” [ her voice was gentle, soft, smile mimicking it. ] “what is your name?”

There’s a part of her that is as easily entranced by trinkets at a magpie, though Salome is loathe to admit that about herself. Fingers twirling about a sterling silver necklace, daydreaming about the possibilities.

This whole place is full of such eccentric, easily discarded treasures. How does someone just discard something so easily; consider it trash and not worth of a second glance? Even as the smooth metal slips through her fingers and the funeral attendant focuses on the smaller woman between the loop.

“It never ceases t’surprise me what people just throw away. This has t’be at least a century old, based on the hand cut of the gems and the metalwork alone.”
