So the new Justice League trailer is great for no specific reason. <.<
But for real AHHHH. I got at least one picture of Ode and Adi together thanks to this movie! :D Best DC film ever just ‘cause of that.
Spoonful of Soup
Odessii hated being in bed - at least, when it wasn’t her choice. It was a beautiful day, and she wanted to play. But her father insisted - and so long as she lived under his roof, what more could she do? At least, after she’d argued for a half an hour that she was fine. But as another sneeze made her head pound once more, she knew that father was right...
She was young, though - just more than ten years old. Sick as she was, the day tortured her, wasting away without her making the most of it. Children laughed and chased each other, and she was stick, bundled in blankets. The sickness even had the nerve to strike her on a day without much work to be done - she would have been done sooner, but for this cold.
A sigh left the girl’s lips, as she turned on her side to stare out her window at the trees rustling, watching stray leaves float out of her view every now and then. When her door opened behind her, she didn’t even bother to turn over and look, preferring to continue watching the trees. But a smirk came to her face as she heard her brother’s voice, hushed in whisper. “Ode? You awake?”
The girl shut her eyes, smiling as she pictured Adisor, none-the-wiser, thinking she’d dozed off. His footsteps were heavy - he was grown, and he trained, so even in trying to be quiet he couldn’t help but make some noise. Next she knew, he was speaking again. “Well, if you’re asleep, then you won’t mind me taking your whelpling.”
Her eyes snapped open, as she reached quickly to snatch a sewn, plush dragon from the corner of her bed and pull it into her arms. “No!”
But when she looked up, Adisor was grinning down at her, holding a steaming bowl. One arm crossed under the one holding the bowl, as he lowered himself onto the edge of her bed. “Relax, I wasn’t really going to take her... Just wanted to test your resolve - you’ve gotta commit to an act, if you’re ever going to fool me. Now sit up, you need to eat...”
Ode buried her face between the whelp’s horns, rolling onto her other side in defiance as she spoke through the cloth and stuffing. “I’m not hungry...”
Adisor raised a brow, pursing his lips and lofting a brow curiously at Ode. “It doesn’t matter if you’re hungry. You need your strength, if you’re going to kick this sooner rather than later. Besides, mother worked hard on it - not enough for everyone, either, special soup just for you.”
He watched for a moment, before she turned her head just enough to look at him. “Just for me..?”
A smile graced his features, as he moved the soup closer to offer it to her. “Just for you. More chicken, less carrots. Just how you’d like it, hm?”
Odessii sat up, scooting back to sit against her headboard and staring into the bowl before taking it from Adisor, taking her first spoonful. She chewed quietly and looked up at Adi while she did. Once she swallowed, she found her voice again. “I still want to go outside...”
He smiled at her, brushing her hair back and patting her shoulder. “Finish that bowl off, and you’ll be back outside before you know it... I’ll leave you to it, aye? Just leave the bowl on your table when you’re done. And I know you were faking, but do try to get some sleep? It’ll help.”
Then he stood, moving around her bed to the door, smiling back at her before he left. “Feel better, Ode. Father’s getting a bit grey to be doing all this work by himself.”
A small smile finally appeared on her face once more, Odessii nodding quickly before going back to her soup, turning her head to watch the trees once more as she ate.
Adi and Ode! Ignore the crazy guy dressed like a bat.
mask kisses please and thank you ;))))))
kisses [1/3] : accepting | @dragonsblades
❝YOUR MASK?❞ A brow quirked quizzically, and that combined with an amused grin gave the visual cues that she was uninterested in the proposal. – Had the brave and forward playboy fallen shy? She would not accept that.
When she stepped forwards to meet him her hand first fell upon his visor, pushing it upwards to reveal the scarred and torn skin beneath. It was a sight that did not offend her; she hardly bat an eye, that was until she glanced downwards to his lips. A calming pause, enough to take in a breath whilst she repositioned her hands upon the intricate metal work of his pauldrons, strangely warm beneath her palms – ALIVE.
Courage and confidence in his company allowed her to lean forwards - the heels of her stilettos lifted up from the ground - so that she may edge closed and press painted lips upon his, marking them with more than just the scars they were already home to. Though the kiss she gave to him was gentle, she held it for longer than a simple peck.

❝….❞ Hanzo had already come to the conclusion that his brother was extremely embarrassing sometimes, but this—a splinter? Really? This reminded him of the times Genji ran to him because he had scrapped knees or sand managed to get in his eye. Of course he would always admonish him, but Hanzo was forever a concerned brother—a brother who probably spoiled his younger sibling rotten with his doting when they were children. ❝How did you even get a splinter in the first place? I bet it’s from climbing those damn trees like an ape.❞ Gently placing down his calligraphy brush, he tried to retain some form of regal grace, but the awkward expression that came across his features must have been amusing to anyone who managed to catch a glimpse from the forever composed Shimada Hanzo.
Only his ridiculous brother could take him aback like this.
❝If you had been doing your lessons like you were supposed to, then we wouldn’t have them problem then would we, otouto?❞ Huffing, he pushed himself up and reached out to grab Genji’s wrist gently to tug him along. ❝Come then. I’ll have to get the tweezers. You better not get dramatic when I’m trying to pull it out like you always do. You are a proud Shimada, and—❞ Yes, it seemed Genji was going to get a lecture too on the way to the bathroom. Such was his fate—

HOW LONG HAD IT been since he had heard his brother call him that? Hanzo couldn't even recall. Their initial meeting had been one that left his mind reeling with questions, and guilt as to what became of his brother resurfacing like an opened wound. A cyborg. His brother's body was not recognizable to him anymore, and it was his fault he was like this to begin with. There had been disgust upon seeing what become of his younger sibling, and though it was still there to an extent, he was not sure whether to be happy his brother was alive, or saddened by the fact that he was no longer wholly human.
'You know me.'
Ah, yes, he knew that particular tactic well. His brother answered, but not quite. He had always been rather elusive and that had not changed to this day. The worry upon Genji's face and the gentle hand upon his shoulder did not help him feel any better, reign on his emotions slipping just a bit as he grit his teeth, formulated what he would say without too much leaking into his words.
"Forgive me for wronging you."

IT HAD NOT TAKEN long for Hanzo to find his brother, a long sigh escaping him the moment he caught sight of that familiar green. It wasn’t hard to pinpoint the younger male’s location when you knew just where to look, and his brother had some of the best places to hide when he wanted to avoid others. ❝Genji, you are aware that there is training you’re supposed to be doing, yes?❞ As much as Hanzo loved his brother, sometimes he made his life difficult just by being himself. The elders of the clan were growing impatient with Genji’s growing difficulty, and though Hanzo did his best to try and convince his little brother to be a bit more serious about his duties, it was like trying to talk to rock most of the time.
❝You cannot keep putting it off. As a member of the Shimada clan, you have duties that must be attended to.❞ Duties that he knew the younger man loathed, yet this was just what they were born into. Genji had to learn the tricks of the ❛trade❜, had to learn how to take control of territories under their family name while Hanzo dealt with the bigger picture. It was stressful he had to admit, and there were times he loathed the position granted to him as head of the clan, but it wasn’t something that he could just casually forgo. To an extent, he felt envious of Genji’s freedom even if none of them were exactly free from this life. Hanzo did not have the luxury of putting off his duties.
Never really did to begin with.
