There’s a book called Dragonhenge that I used to be obsessed with (and do still like a lot, despite not reading it in years). It’s several stories based in a world of dragons and has beautiful art all throughout. So, naturally I tested my hand at drawing some of the characters and totally wrecked the magic.

A unique collaboration born from the interplay of ideas between two award-winning creators, “Dragonhenge” is a feast of visual and lyrical splendor. A book of creation, mythology, and the end of dragons.

This is one of my favorite dragon books, artistically beautiful and the stories stir something in my heart. John Grant and Bob Eggleton have created something magnificent and I come back to it often to gaze between pictures and words, as it should be.

I think my favorite story in the book is “Why There Are Neither Greaters nor Lessers” because in this world there are “Great” dragons and “Lesser” dragons, but the spirit and love of one of these lesser dragons saves the greater from a disease called Despair. And the greater realizes that there shouldn’t be differentiations based on birth and status. A very thoughtful story. I highly recommend this book 💚

One of my goals is to reread Dragonhenge by Bob Eggleton and John Grant, so I can read The Stardragons, also by them.

Dragonhenge is a profound collection of stories told between dragons, master storytellers. From the origin of the universe to the creation of rainbows to a war between ice dragons.

This book is filled with stunning artwork and lyrical prose. I love each story and how they have multiple angles. I also enjoy the imagery of this world of dragons, without humans.

I heard about this book in a Facebook group called Thank Dragons, seeing someone make a post about how much they loved this book. It wasn’t easy to find, but it was well worth the time searching for it!
