I have thirty one (31!) days left to finish the first draft of my novel, The Nation of the Last Breath. I've finished about 156,000+ words and a little more than 25 chapters or so, I promise I'll use these next four weeks to get it all done!!

Looking for a book

Hi Tumblr! I was wondering you folks can help me find a book. I used to read this book in my school library, but my school has since shut down, and no idea where any of the books have went. I read the book around 2000-2004. The school shut down while I was in college.

The book was a large, hardback book about dragons. The title was just Dragons. Not a draconology book. It was made in the 80s or 90s. The book was black with a large, color western style dragon in a circle. The Dragon was green and blue with some yellow.

The book was about the history of dragons and the portrayal dragons in different countries. It was full of historical art pieces. I do not think there was any original artwork in the book.

The Roman dragons talked about a dragons living in a temple and one befriending a priestess. The section focused on specifically Chinese dragons, mentioned them eating roasted sparrows, seeing air but not rocks.

The American dragons, may have mentioned the Piazza Bird, But the thing I remember the most, is a piece of pottery featuring a modern take on the dragon, where the Native artist, reinterpreted the dragon as a hermit who lived in the woods and collected berries.

I loved this book. I am currently collecting several books that mean a lot to me, and I would love to find this book again.

I have succeeded in finding I think 4 out of the 5 books, I've been looking for. Three of the books, hilariously enough, were by the same author. This is the last one.

Anywho read Ashes Against the Iron Sky, my steampunk dragon rider novel or novella (depends on final word count) when I (hopefully) finish writing it!!!!
