"Yooouuu are brave bothering me on my break." She tilted her newspaper down as she looked up at Tim, brows creasing slightly as she began tapping her foot in the air.
"you got 2 minutes, what do you want?"

Long nights sitting with his son after a tiring day of work, he could remember those times fairly clearly. Not unfondly but in someways hardly missed. "Ah, I remember nights like that. Sometimes when he couldn't sleep I'd bring my son outside with me to look at them. Suppose that's where his interest started," A soft chuckle as he took a seat, "A shame the city hides so many of them but it is a nice night." He stared up at the sky leaning back, a hand still resting atop his cane.
Hughes turned toward Niko with a soft smile. "Sounds nice. Being able to spend time together looking at the stars like that. He must have found it relaxing if he's still interested now."
He followed the other man's gaze back up toward the sky. "Yeah, you see a lot fewer here in the city. Were they more visible back home for you? I haven't been anywhere without street lights in a long time," he mused quietly.
"I just wish the last time I saw them was under better circumstances. Out in the desert when there's no light for miles around, I saw for the first time just how many stars were really up there." He sighed softly, a slight frown spreading over his features at the memory of why he'd been there. "Memories like that fade sometimes in the face of stronger ones you'd rather forget. I didn't have much time or focus for something like that, not when I had my orders and was just trying to get through the day." Those grueling days and the haunting outcome of those orders were what he remembered most about Ishval; the painted galaxy above the desert sand and bloodshed faded in comparison.
Hughes shook his head slowly and glanced towards Niko with an apologetic half-smile. "Sorry, you don't want to hear about that," he quickly amended before he could let himself drag up too many unwanted details. "Maybe someday I'll be able to go somewhere that I can see the night sky clearly and really take the time to see all those hidden stars."

Dolcetto sighed, attempting to slick some stray hairs back with one hand. The gel he used usually held all day--but Greed had put him to work redecorating The Nest for fall and Dol had, to put it plainly, worked his ass off. As soon as Greed had OK-ed the Nests slightly new look Dol hurried outside for a smoke break.
As soon as he was in one of the alleys by the Nest Dolcetto dug into a hidden pocket inside his keikogi and pulled out his pipe and matches, striking one quickly. He breathed in and exhaled upwards, craning his head to look up at the stars. It was an exceptionally clear night: the stars hung unobstructed in the black sky, with the moon appearing to be in waxing crescent.
"Hmm..."
He glanced to the roof of The Nest, squinting his eyes as he tried to see if his friend, Timaeus, was stargazing on it.
"Timaeus? Y' up there?"
Once the opportunity arose Tim had known exactly who they wanted to tell first.
Their tail is practically wagging, eyes shining wide with excitement. A brand new feeling just bubbling within, and oh how they hope it never goes away.
"Name, have..have Name. Name Tim- Teemayuss."
They told Kumo, claws lightly tapping each other a little nervous wondering what they may think of their new name.
"Oh um.. Kumo can call Vi, Vi if Kumo wants." It had quite grown on them in their time together and for some reason didn't feel quite right just giving it up.
[ @dragonofthestone; a very excited lad has appeared with news]
⋆˖⁺‧₊☽◯☾₊‧⁺˖⋆ It's been a short while since he's managed to find his way home - with a companion in tow this time. It wasn't unusual for this to happen however. The Comodeen barely batted an eye when the Misterican showed up with a second person. There just wasn't another place for Vi to go and something at the center of his gut twisted at the thought of merely abandoning the other man out in some town within Wonderland.
Besides, Vi had been traveling with him for so long at this point that if anyone else had seen them together then this dragon like man would likely be damned by association. Association to the White Devil.
There's nary a soul within the space of all of Wonderland that would welcome him into their town.
So it had hardly phased the Comodeen when their Misterican member showed up with a new friend and they allowed him in their home with little hesitation. The swordsman had introduced him with:
'He says he doesn't have a name so I have been calling him Vi, but I think it would be more appropriate if you all perhaps helped him find the name he truly resonates with. '
So he is more than pleased when the dragon like man pokes his head into the room and approaches the place the prince has found himself perched in the library that this resistance group has managed to collect. His hands fold the tome within them closed as jade rises to meet the sparkling gaze that is fixed upon him and he notes in the back of his mind the wagging motion of the other's tail.
His friend seem excited - excited to tell him that he's found a name and he struggles for a moment to speak it. So sensitive ears listen and if he recalls it's a name from the book that Kain was currently reading. Ah, yes he remembers now. They've been working through it in their spare time before they lay down for bed. He knows what his friend is trying to say.
"Timaeus?" He smiles at him with affection shining within jade moons. Kain must have given it to him. "Did Kain give you that? Do you like it? I am happy to hear so, ystäväni, but I will call you whatever you prefer.
Names are reflections of who we are as people, so I want you to tell me what makes you comfortable. If you wish to be Timaeus and only that, I will honor that. If you wish to keep Vihreä than I can continue to do so. I am not offended or upset either way.
What is important to me is your comfort. So you tell me what to call you and I will honor your request. That is the least I can do for you as your friend. "
@dragonofthestone asked the summoner:
Chimera wants Kaze to see their now treasured music box, because they will show it off to anyone and everyone.
The hybrid walked up to him, scaled hands holding a small device. The gunmage's gaze fell on the box, inspecting it thoroughly. Until it was opened, though, he could only guess what was inside.
"Hm?"
Timaeus was a silent type, much like him - though it seemed less a philosophy, more fear. Kaze decided to give the man a verbal poke, see if that enticed him to speak. "What is it?"

The end of his tail swished giving a nod.
Of course they'd venture out only once the crowds dispersed, that's why he made the specific point of asking if she was interested for later.
A part of him wasn't to surprised at her lack of comment or even reaction to his hands, but they were so different. Even among the odd collection of folk who lived there and in his mind any they continued to cause much distress so kept them hidden away.
"What you think..ing?"
The way she watched the animals reminded him to much when things got loud and his head got so full, when all he could do was stare at the stars.
Sometimes he knew it helped having a listening war, a realization he come learn abd accept from Bido. Even he didn't talk right away knowing there was someone willing and waiting could be a comfort, so Timaeus wanted to extand that to Aya.
His Amestrian may have been lacking but he was an excellent listener.
Aya shrugged a little non committaly. She wasn’t sure if she wanted to talk about what was on her mind. “Dunno....” She mumbled.
“Talked to dad about some stuff a little while ago--just dunno how to feel about it I guess.” She scratched behind one of her ears, taking a deep breath and stretching her arms out in front of her to try and force her body to relax. Resting her forehead against one of her knees.
“My parents. They had whole lives as humans....before everything. I never saw them as humans---I dont know what they looked like before. Can barely remember what they looked like as chimera.......I dont--I don’t remember what color my mums eyes were.”
