“Uncle Danny?” She coughed, sliding in through the window. Half her costume was ripped to shreds, and while that normally wouldn’t have been an issue, this time it was paired with a long gash along her abdomen. She couldn’t have gone back home, her parents would have freaked out. Danny would freak out too, without a doubt, but at least she could put off her parents finding out. They’d never let her go out again. “I have a slight problem.” She stumbled, clutching the wound. “They did something to me...I can’t-It hurts...is this how it feels to get hurt? It sucks. It really, really sucks.”

We help one another when we fall,” she said. “I’m sure Captain Rogers would have a more eloquent way of putting that, but I’ve never been great with words,” she said. She’d gotten her point across, she hoped, that the team would always be there if he needed them.

Matt stammers a bit at first, trying to find his words when the other asks if he’s going to join him. In a hot tub. Matt never really did hot tubs or anything like that. He didn’t indulge himself much in terms of relaxation and luxury. Danny had invited him to join however. He lets out a breath and tries to speak again. “I um....” he clears his throat. “Are you sure you really want me to?” he asks as he fully turns to face the other.

She paused in mid-step, glancing back over her shoulder with a frown. Clearly Dan wasn’t as invested in tracking these Hydra agents as she was if he was willing to break protocol to speak now. Backtracking a step, Dany took a deep sigh, flicking her fingers and a shimmering red dome covered them both, the vibrations of the layer of fire molecules interfered with sound projection. She couldn’t hold it for too long before the heat would be registered as unusual within the building so Dany cut to the chase.

“We’re doing this because Cap asked us to. Look, if this is too boring for you, run along back to the base and I’ll deal with them, but make up your mind quick,” Dany answered him with a huff of impatience.
