Made a graphic on how horns work in my lore!
Some more little tidbits:
Horns are considered the connection between Drakakyn and ancient dragons. Individuals who have committed serious crimes, like treason, may have notches carved into their horns. Horns will never be cut off however, the act of doing so is seen as heinous and cruel, it itself is considered a crime on the same level as desertion. Among teenagers and young adults, larger horns are seen as desirable. Those who were raised in Lados will never adorn their horns with jewelry, paint, etc. Bumping/touching horns is a common form of both platonic and romantic affection.
