Cadmium yellow!
Cadmium yellow: What subjects or topics does your muse avoid, because they bring up harmful / painful memories? The most obvious would have been Drogan’s death. Unless she was in the company of the other students, Dhana was unlikely to divulge much around this subject. Wine would have been needed, or copious amounts of trust and patience. However, with time and life experience between then and now, the wound has scabbed over.
Dhana’s father is another sore point. Although not harmful/painful in terms of memories, she feels at a loss for not having memories of him. She grew up with a presence - an overwhelming awareness of his absence and Olena’s silent grieving. But Dhana’s mother is as tight lipped as they come, and the sorceress has had to fill the gaps herself.
Getting lost within the Shadow Plane. Definitely. It traumatised her, understandably considering the events of Undrentide. However, as with Drogan’s death, I wish to give her closure. Exploring the Reaper’s Relic and its fixation with her will hopefully do this (thank you @sunshinedoomguide for the plot idea).
