If you're reading this it's too late
I'm confused as to why this is trending world wide. I'm not understanding how all of my timelines are full of positive reviews from my peers. I was initially confused as to why people were buying it off of iTunes hearing that it was a mixtape. I've come to understand that mixtapes are free? I'm thinking to myself about how bizarre that is, but HEY if Drake wants to charge for his mixtapes who am I to stop him. So I listen to it, right? And what do I hear? I hear Legend and I'm not going to lie I enjoyed it. It was a good catchy song but as I kept listening to the mixtape I just got extremely upset. After the first 30 seconds of the third song I've come to the conclusion that Drake is exceedingly arrogant. Is anyone listening to what he's saying? What has Drake been rapping about recently? Listen to his recent singles or features in other artists songs and OPEN YOUR EARS CHILDREN. Is THAT what you like about rap music? Someone talking about how much money they have and how many bitches he has at the crib? What are y'all into? It's so surprising. The more he rapped the more upset I got. I kept thinking to myself as to WHY KANYE is hated. KANYE WEST is more hated than Drake because Kanye likes to keep it real? Are you serious? Get out of here with that bullshit. Listen to Kanye's first album; he was a pretty cocky man, but always talked about current events. He talked about things that effected us. He expressed his opinions in his music, so it surprises me as to why people think it's absurd that Kanye speaks his mind in public. I mean who else comes up with a line like "I treat my cash like the government treats AIDS. I won't be satisfied until all my niggas get it, get it?" Of course everyone's argument can be that Kanye is self righteous but can you blame him? He's a living legend and I don't think Kanye or Jay-Z had to come out with a song just to reassure themselves. I don't know I'm just upset about who Drake is becoming. I don't know him personally, but as an artist you rap about what you know and if that is who Drake is portraying himself as I don't want to learn anything else from him. I think people are too intimidated by Kanye. I think Kanye speaks his mind so well and whenever he wants that people get scared. Kanye is the badguy we all need to point our finger at. I think Kanye is a blessing in disguise. I want to be the new bad guy. I want everyone to say I'm wrong, I'm uncalled for, I'm the arrogant one. You know what? I really do think I am going to become the female Yeezy. We think so much alike and I don't even know him. Kanye's actions speak louder than words and Kanye means what he says... just like me. I no longer look up to Drake. I respect Drake's talent and he will still always make music I can hype up too, but artistically I have no respect for his work. If Drake asked me to hop on one of his songs I would, but I don't know if I'd want him on one of mine. I don't hate Drake because I don't know him, but actions speak louder than words Drizzy. Be careful on whose toes you step on...
DRAKE'S NEW MIXTAPE MIGHT BE HIS BEST YET
He topped the charts with his most recent studio album 'Nothing Was The Same'- fastest rap set to hit 1 million units sold in 2013. (Passed Jay Z by 6 weeks) From his latest smash hits "0 to 100 / The Catch Up" "How About Now" and "6 God" to new remixes and features, Drake has not let his fans down, but that's not all. Rumor has it Drake will be releasing a NEW mixtape aside from the album he's set to drop this Spring.
Toronto Raptors' forward, DeMar DeRozan stated his friend Drake gave him his new mixtape, which he then revealed was to drop this month. Drake and his OVO camp haven't released any details on the mixtape, but Drizzy did confirm the rumors in an ESPN interview after Toronto Raptors' Drake Night last month.
"Some of the best I've heard from him," says P. Reign. (OVO and Reps Up member) P. Reign mentioned this to Karen Civil while discussing his excitement for hip-hop in 2015, in which he emphasized the craze it will bring to the world. Drake's last mixtape, "So Far Gone" escalated his career in hip-hop internationally in 2009. So, just imagine what he has in store for the world to hear now? Surely, nothing less than great for Drake stands for Do Right and Kill Everything.
So, are you excited for what may be Drake's BEST yet? Do you think Jay Z, Kanye West or Kendrick Lamar can top this one? Let us know what you think. Feel free to comment your thoughts.
