Okay, so first thing's first, the comics are 100% amazing. I bought them direct from Dynamite Entertainment and they got to me in a couple weeks, not too bad.

ANYWAY.

Comic #1 features Megavolt as villain of the week. And there are some Lovely drakepad moments in this comic.

"And let's get Launchpad." YES. I have MISSED THEM AUGH

Very next page, lmao, I love them all sm.

Also the art style and characterization?? Top tier, truly.

This scene is very domestic and probably one of my faves in this first comic.

(sorry about the glare on the pages, I'm doing my best!!)

I'm going to upload more bits of the stories and my thoughts on them as the day goes.

TL;DR, I really missed having new content from this trio and their world, and I am delighted I get new adventures with them again.

I somehow missed the pitch Bible leaks a couple days ago but I wanna point out some of my fav bits from it

Let’s, Get, Dangerous!

This photo is everything to me, also THE MALLARDS!! THEM!!!

These are also super good pitch art. I love the two crime fighting poses but the “domestic” scene really has my heart here. Gos doing homework, LP being engrossed in a household task while Drake is grabbed up. Very classic scenario with that modern twist to it.

Also Drake’s “doting best friend/roommate”

These are some of the differences between the old and new and my favorite had to be that LP isn’t pure comic relief; he’s the Heart of the Family.

Anyway long story short, I’m sad we’ve been deprived of this trio. Plenty of other fun bits would’ve been there too.

I now have a binder of some of my favorite drakepad fanfics! Now I will always have something to read even if AO3 goes down, lol.

Next I wanna fill the last few pages with some of the art I’ve had commissioned!

@mighty-ant , @mobmode you two are the majority of this binder btw. I still have one that I need to get in another binder bc it was too big to put in this one. Thanks for writing some of my absolute favorite pieces to read 💕
