Dr. Ambrose inspiration moodboard! I'll really get into these because I can't really divulge a lot about the man himself! I really tossed around whether to put Dr. Light or Dr. Wily on the board, & either would suffice, but Ambrose is a well-meaning person, even if his cool-headed plans wreak havoc. Like the sentient robot creator Dr. Light. If you haven't played the Penny Arcade games, forget about the webcomics & everything else & just enjoy one of the weirdest stories with a pair of really interesting heroes. Tycho is a complex, conflicted man of intellect & dark potential. Seriously, I think the games are all like five bucks each, go play them! I'll stream it sometime. A party member called Ambrose Dr. House. They're not wrong. Totally same anti-bedside manner. Jeff Winger is an older man surrounded by younger folks faced with a pretty weird new environment. Ambrose has so much in common with this sarcastic fucker. Dr. Franken Stein is probably as close to Ambrose's role in the game as it gets. He's a strong, older man armed to the teeth & prepared to do some damage. May or may not be unhinged. Oh, well. Toffee is what I imagine Ambrose's voice to sound like. He's flat & rarely betrays emotion. I forgot his name, but the headmaster in Anna & the Apocalypse is totally the sort of manic energy the good doctor has when he's on a roll. Super good movie, check it out if you haven't. There's many reasons, see above for why Stanford Pines is also a fantastic inspiration for the good doctor.
