Draven Mallory Perdita was born to Mallory Perdita on February 29th, 1986 in Baltimore, Maryland. His father André Fuchs, a high born aristocrat of Innsbruck, Austria, was, and still is, unaware of his illegitimate son’s existence. Mallory worked for the Fuchs family while she was studying abroad; while on summer break, André took Mallory out to see the sights of the city. At fifteen years Mallory’s senior, the twenty-two year old considered André to be more an uncle time than a romantic interest; however, André, though married with four children of his own, believed Mallory owed him for his family’s hospitality. After being sexually assaulted by her host, Mallory dropped out of university and returned home to Maryland when her case against André was denied by the courts. Once home in Maryland, Mallory worked for an aunt who owned a photography business.
After Draven was born, Mallory committed suicide; never having recovered from her assault, the then twenty-three year old left Draven in the care of his aunt, Oshea. From a young age, Draven referred to Oshea as his mother. While never harsh and always delicate, Oshea never refused to answer questions or tell Draven the truth, allowing Draven an appreciation for his aunt, while giving him the proper chance to grieve and process through the loss of his mother.
After Oshea became unable to see properly, Draven took over her business. Having never met his father, Draven studied German so that one day he might be able to look André in the eyes and tell him how much he utterly despises his sire.
Despite his “good, next door boy” vibe, Draven is a thief. Using his photography company to locate rich clients, he exploits access to their home to learn the ins and outs, security systems, and befriending pets. While he’d never admit such, his actions are a result of his anger toward a rich father who managed to use his power and money to avoid prosecution for the rape of Mallory. A bad “Robin Hood” type in concept, Draven steals from his rich clients simply for his own amusement. Generally he auctions off his acquisitions on the black market or donates them to charity - who would deny they donated to a charity for orphans or battered women?
Draven’s most favorite joke is about his birthday. He claims that since he’s illegitimate himself, it only stands to reason he’d be born on a day that only exists every four years. An illegitimate day for an illegitimate boy.
