100 Flowers, Drawing Fire, LP Reissue
In the Red really outdid themselves on this Drawing Fire reissue. The packaging is amazing, remaining true to the 1984 release; ITR even used the same letterpress company.
Drawing Fire hasn’t been unobtainium over the years, but the EP was released after 100 Flowers broke up, so it received little promotion. ITR’s reissue combines the five songs from the original EP, coupling them with 100 Flowers’ “Presence of Mind” 7” and their tracks off the WarfRat Tales compilation (1983). Drawing Fire is outstanding—as good as anything else the Urinals or 100 Flowers cut. The EP’s five original tracks are fairly driving. Gone are the funk elements found on 100 Flowers’ self-titled album (1983).
My copy came on clear vinyl with the elaborate packaging mentioned earlier. You literally unfold the cover to remove the record. It’s another no-brainer purchase that’s worth picking up even if you own an original copy. -Ryan Leach (In the Red)

A bill introduced by West Virginia Democratic Senator and Indiana Republican Senator is drawing fire from chronic pain patient advocates.
The bill they call The FDA Opioid Labeling Accuracy Act would “prohibit the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) from allowing opioids to be labeled for intended use of ‘around-the-clock, long-term opioid treatment’ until a study can be completed on the…
