Help! I need critique on this one. Les trois grâces, the three muse, sculpture. I think that I find it easier to draw from paintings as they are already flattened out. Yesterday at the Louvre. Mercury kidnapping Psyché by Adriaen de Vries. This one didn't turn out that great. I think it's because 1. the scupture is dark and 2. the pose is complicated. My drawing is very stiff. On the bright side I met a bunch of really nice people, everyone was talking with me, which is fun! They were very encouraging, which every artist needs! I must work on dynamics more. Second attempt at a new technique. This time no cross hatching. I was trying to emulate 2 artists that I admire, to learn about form, volume and skin tone @winnietron and @rebeccamorgan10 I hope I didn't steal your style girls! As always when learning you need to look at how the masters worked but copying isn't cool. Try to make it your own. After the last drawing I did like this I got some great feedback.
