It's finally my birthday!!! Yippee

I'm now older... (sigh)

And my favourite thing about my birthday is the gifts! Even though I much prefer giving than receiving. This year, I was expecting nothing, as I do every year, however, @babsvibes had gotten me a sweet present, commissioned by the wonderful @drawthething !!!

It honestly made my day. Seeing my two little sillies being drawn by someone else (especially when they are super duper talented) Thank you so much, both of you.

It makes me realise the community we built here has some of the most compassionate and kindest people! And let that never change.

What made you ship it? Roller? I Hardly Knew Her! it's one of my all time favorite episodes that legit feels like something straight out of a fanfic. they were just so precious together and i screamed through the whole episode every time they were on screen together. then The Gene Mile really helped solidify it. i was also under the impression when i first joined the fandom that they were just kind of accepted as being poly together by the fandom and thought was really neat.

What are your favorite things about the ship? they all balance each other out. Alex seems like he's very stable and able to keep the other two grounded. Courtney is usually able to stay pretty positive and upbeat, and Gene is the one who makes everything fun. i also think they are very aesthetically pleasing to look at together. also also they're just a lot of fun! they seem like they have a good time whenever they all hang out together.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? this is one ship that i absolutely wish WAS canon. the world needs more positive poly representation and i think they would be perfect for that. i also just want more episodes with all of them interacting, we've only had two and that's not enough for me, damn it!

The way that Declan had won his games – using the Capitol’s own technology against the other tributes – had royally pissed the gamemakers off and he’d come home to the news that his mother had passed away. It had officially been labeled as an accident, but anyone with two brain cells to rub together could see right through it to the truth. The Capitol had killed Mrs. Tisdale to sent a message to Declan: Watch your back and keep your mouth shut. A lump forms in Henry’s throat and he has to look away from his old mentor. “I don’t know what to do,” he managed to choke out. Declan’s hand is on his shoulder then, sturdy and strong. “You show them that what they previously thought about you is false, even if it’s a lie. You make yourself appealing to help her. The Capitol thinks you’re rude, aloof, and selfish. And you are two of those. But,” his hand is on Henry’s chin then, lifting his head so that he could look at him, “you are not selfish, Henry Haber. You have a bigger heart than you let on. I can see that.” He lets go and takes a step back, never breaking eye contact. “Now you have to convince them.” “But how do I do that?” Declan’s shoulders lift in a shrug. “You made a good start today, even if you didn’t mean to. You showed compassion to Susmita for the whole country to see.” His eyes gleam at the boy. “That girl could be your salvation.”

Trick or treat 👀

DTT, my darling <3 so for you, let's talk Barryl (because the brainrot is always so so real lol)! during Darryl's sophomore year of college, Becky gets into a car accident and is rushed to the hospital to be checked out. she calls him once she's there and he flips out because oh god his girlfriend is in the hospital and he rushes there, but he can't go see her because he's not immediate family. thankfully she's fine except for a little bruising and he's able to take her back to the dorms, but he's thoroughly spooked and frustrated. so after thinking about it for a few days, he proposes. no, literally, he asks her to marry him. she's freaked out at first, but he tells that no being able to see her at the hospital had him panicked so if they get married now and anything happens to either of them, they'll have that spousal privilege. she takes a day to think it over then agrees. they get married at the courthouse with Susmita and Henry as their witnesses and boom, they're husband and wife. but they don't actually tell anyone else, especially not their families, because they know they'll all tell them that they acted rashly and it's too soon. so they're secretly married for two years, and Su and Henry of course don't say anything because they're OGs. then after Darryl graduates with his bachelors, he comes down with appendicitis and has to be rushed to the hospital, and Becky is suddenly so glad that they did what they did because she gets to be by his side immediately after the surgery. their families find out though and her mom is horrified because she doesn't like Darryl (fuck Kelly), while his mom is SO mad because they didn't tell her and they didn't let her plan their wedding damn it! XD they both promise to let her plan a real wedding for them.
