While I could never complain about getting Jericho content, I am curious about patron swap Brigsy. I haven't found much information on him or swap Lethica. I would love to learn something about them if your willing to share. =}
Yeah sorry my brain is very Jericho leaning so it's really hard to dedicate time to the others :'''D
But i do have some thoughts about them!
Briggsy is a priest of shar sent on a mission to find the shadow knell, not out of devotion, but as a deal for his life. In true it's not hard to see Briggsy isn't very pleased to be a cleric, often being very loose with the cult's practices like not wearing his mask all the time, or straight up having a lot of animosity towards Shar despite her aid.
In truth (this would show up during their memory sequence) Briggsy did want to become a fearsome pirate in the past, but this dream was shattered when Shar cultists arrived to his town when he was a young trouble-maker, and slowly reformed every person they could to their belief, with criminals like him given the choice between Shar or death. Despite the indoctrination, he maintained a piece of himself, namely his greed, that led him to steal and trade away precious artifacts from the cult in secret, still seeking to make a name for himself and amass his own wealth. Sadly he is no mastermind, and eventually was caught by the church leaders. But rather than being put to the blade, his talent for tracking rare items became of use, and so he was sent to either find the shadow knell or die trying.
Lethica is a huntress with a keen eye and a sharper mind, a marksman now under the control of Mr. Crossroads and used to seek those indebted to the loa. Despite the jinx magic she's been granted, she's greatly displeased by the chains that come with it, and is now looking for a way to break them, or maybe even turn them against her patron.
How she ended in this situation comes from the fact that she's always been a daredevil, her clever mind only matched by her luck and easily surpassed by her pride. At the peek of it she was visited by Mr. Crossroads himself and dared her to beat him in a game (perhaps Lier's dice cuz that's fun). Despite her best attempt, her pride became her biggest weakness and gave the trickster god the upper hand. Given the "choice" to get her soul back, she became the god's deathliest hand. And while the title is rather flattering, this where her journey to find a way to twist her fate in her favor once more began.
