yeah back in 2013 in america there was this movement called black lives matter and it garnered a lot of attention on tumblr so the tumblr started shadowbanning people for being bots so a lot of black bloggers left bc of that + the typical racism within fandom spaces especially

I definitely know about how racism unfortunately happens in fandom spaces a lot, I just had no idea about the bot thing but honestly after thinking about it and reflecting on how the same thing happens to trans women I guess I'm not that surprised :/

I admit the only thing I know about vinziepop is that i remember she backed some girl who did blackface and then doubled down to defend her iirc? I don't know what hazbin hotel or helluva boss is other than like fanart but I am a homestuck so maybe I'll check it out

For what i could read and find in a quick search, it was fanart she made of a youtuber that made a blackface joke and Vivzie already apologized for not knowing and for being insensitive about it. I read her apology and, while not perfect and there's a lot of snarky remarks, it's more honest than other apologies i have seen. It was in 2019 so she has seem to work about those issues.

Again, people can dislike her (there are posts i have personally read that i also not agree with before being taken down) but she has become the spacegoat of the hatedom that is twitter. Even when she is doing a LOT for indie animation, for the LGTB+ community, the latine community and others. There are very VERY worse people out there that could be hated tbh.

Hazbin and Helluva are NOT that bad. Yes, there are swears, yes there are sex jokes. But it's not every 5 seconds. Like i said, I have heard Pomni and Bubble from TADC say more swears (even if blipped) in a sentence than one of the Hellaverse characters. But it's very good ADULT animation, even if the writing SOMETIMES fail, it's not as crude as every other adult animation i have seen. And im not english speaker, trust me when i say there aren't as much swears that there could be. And as an ace/aro that is sometimes repulsed towards romance/sex, I think the "sex" scenes are ok-ish. I have seen AND drawn worse xD

It's not everyone's cup of tea and that's ok. If you want to give the shows a chance, go ahead! For me they are pretty funny and the writing is good.

They could! I also suspect they won't; based on the fireside I think there's a good chance that casting classes will skew towards warlock and druid since they have particularly interesting hooks, and I think you can tell interesting stories when you have multiple people of the same class approaching it in their own unique ways (most notably Jester and Caduceus, but also Patia and Laerryn). I think the fact that the party comp will be rather fluid might also lead to people tending towards relatively high utility/flexible builds - I think this concept leaves a lot of space for multiclassing. I don't personally have specific predictions yet for classes and honestly I'm not even sure I have a wish list yet though I might come up with one this evening for fun, but I am really excited to see their builds.

7. Do you have a favorite player? who is it?

What a super hard question, they're all so-Laura. It's Laura. I am sure no one here is surprised that it's Laura. That woman is so goddamn good at what she does and I love her. I am not going to elaborate further because otherwise I will be here all night.

10. Which Player Character are you most excited for?

OK this one for real I don't have a solid "this one absolutely" sort of answer. Gun to my head I would say Thaisha, because having Aabria at the table full time was a castle in the air for me for so long. I've said it before but I'll say it again: Aabria is a goddamn scalpel. She knows just where to poke and cut to bring out the most interesting story and character beats from those around her. She's the kind of player every GM dreams of having at their table tbh, because she is so good at seeing the weave of the story and helping it and her fellow players along. The fact that Thaisha is on the more "wholesome" side of Aabria characters makes me even happier, because stories of good people faced with terrible realities and decisions are my favorite kind. Also: I play an orc every opportunity I get. I love orcs, both from a "I am a contrary bitch who hates it when there are 'evil races' and therefore I will immediately glom on to them" standpoint and also from a mechanical standpoint since the addition of Adrenaline Rush, my beloved. So Aabria playing a beautiful orc lady? My god, if I witness her hitting on a woman I may expire on the spot.

That said, I have quickly shifted from "eh I'm sure I'll like her because it's Laura" ambivalence regarding Thimble to extreme interest, because the vibe I am getting from the small amount we've gotten is that the previous PC she'll be most like is Keyleth at her angriest and most grief-stricken, and if that is the case, I am going to feast. Occtis being a dweeb goth is absolutely bait for me, and I loved how much Alex didn't sand the edges off Crokas' relationship with Fiedra so I am looking forward to seeing how he handles things in a long campaign. Vaelus is super intriguing and I cannot wait to find out what that whole deal is. Marisha saying Murray is like an old rusted pick up truck made me start shaking violently with excitement. And I was SO hoping Tal would go full cunt so I am absolutely here for Bolaire.

19. What are you most excited for heading into a new campaign?

Aramán. Not primarily from a lore-gremlin standpoint, actually, despite me being a major one. I am specifically excited about Aramán because it seems to be a world crafted from the ground up to tell a specific kind of story, and that's quite different from Exandria. I adore Exandria obviously but one of its greatest strengths is also one of its biggest limitations: it is a sandbox world. It was created to be explored, not to say a specific thing. Brennan is a GM that usually comes in with specific themes he wants to explore, and he'll build his worlds to support those themes. Getting to do that in a longer form is sure to get really, really philosophically juicy, and my brain is hungry for it.

Maybe they just wanted to keep it the same curly/spiky-ish style in s2 because it’s hard to do tatsu’s slow hair change thing while animating consistently
