Last night was larp night (Deadriver Company, I love you) and I just had another realization about the profound differences between my old character Beatrice Martin (Brujah, old ass neonate because no one in their right Camarilla-mind would give her Ancilla status the way she behaves) and Alva Nachtigal (Ancilla of clan Tremere, spiritualist, medium and known to most off-game as the pettiest vampire in town and the one to hold silent (or not silent) devastating grudges for eternity. Also Regent of clan Tremeres chantry in town and more often than not in a mental facepalm watching the chaos of the young generations around her).
Beatrice was/is very full of life, active, angry, seeking out and fucking shit up. Screaming at people, smashing stuff, smashing people too for that matter.
Alva is so much calmer, and in a way more deadly I think. She is a complete believer in the Camarilla and in the structures of her Clan. Her game is mind games, control and power. She is in no rush and will take her time. Much more ‘If you want to do something, plan and do it properly’ than Beatrice could ever even hope to become.
