2 Types of Dread Rot and How to Prevent Them!
How should I handle dread rot ? I don't want to cut them.
Try to figure out where the rot is in your dreads because I'm pretty sure you are going to have to do a bit of cutting to get it all out. Before that though go check out the resources section on my main page. There are some good tutorials out there that might help get out the rot and the communities I posted there are a great place to go for more help.
I just wrapped one of my dreads, and I am really afraid that it's going to get dread rot. It seems that it stays wet longer than my other dreads. Any advice?
If you used hemp or yarn, it will stay wet longer than if you used embroidery floss. You can palm roll the wrapped dread just like you would your dreads. Also, give the threadlock an extra squeeze after washing to wring out the water.
