It’s about 9:00 at night. The evening air is heavy and humid, and so far it’s been a relatively quiet evening. Or at least, it was quiet, until there was some kind of noise just outside Danny’s window. There was a heavy gust of wind and what sounded like roaring electricity followed by an odd, twinkling sound. Just outside was a giant, golden ring, spinning slowly as it hovered in place.
While that was odd in and of itself, there wasn’t much time to think about it. Because mere seconds after, the ring’s spinning kicks up, and the space in the center of the ring lit up, before ejecting, something, that exited with a bound and a bounce as it landed on its feet.
The ring makes that odd twinkling sound again, before shrinking in size rapidly, and the figure that exited the ring gives it a simple touch, as it turns into a series of glowing... embers that collect within its form.
And as it steps forward, the porchlight illuminated its face, and Danny gets a glimpse of-
WHAT THE FRESH HELL?!
It was... it looked like... vaguely like Mickey Mouse, if Mickey Mouse was real that is. With it’s black, bulbous nose on a protruding, rodent-like snout, big, white cartoonish gloves and large... eye?.... Eyes? It had two pupils, but its eye was one unit... but unlike Mickey Mouse, it’s snout was much shorter, with short, triangular, almost cat-like ears. As it turns it’s head to look around, Danny can see it has quills, similar to a hedgehog, but it’s quills were almost... ‘styled’ into three, no wait, wait, six, spikes. On its feet, it wore a pair of red sneakers, with big cuffs at the ankles, similar to its gloves. Its shoes weren’t tied with laces, but with a white band that ran across the side and top of the shoe, clipped together with a buckle.
...And it was blue. Very blue
What was this thing? Was it an Alien? But, Aliens weren’t real!
