We love Kero Kero Bonito and their bubbly aerated, J-pop inspired electro-pop, but we’re also very much elated that the English trio seems to be stretching out their legs when it comes to sculpting new sounds and experimenting in new directions. They surprised us last month with scuzzy guitars and crunchy pop rock on Only Acting. Now, they delight us with a smooth shimmering, gauzy waltzing groove on Cinema, reminding us of acts like Yumi Zouma and Men I Trust in the process. A hint of chill psychedelic disco and some dreamy funk also saturate the dreamy swaying track. Cinema comes off KKB’s new four track EP, TOTEP, on which they explore a myriad of sounds. Streaming/purchase links for the self-released EP can be found on their website, here.
