Dream Multimedia’s Goliath project, first announced at the Anga Cable show in 2012, will the see the DM7080 receiver launched in August/September. It was previously believed that the set-top box would also be named Goliath.

Goliath LITE name rumours

Goliath LITE name rumours

According to unnoficial sources, the first of two upcoming DreamBox set-top boxes, which was believed to be named Goliath LITE, will infact be named after its predecessors.  To date, no official name has been announced. Obvious predictions would be DM9000, etc.

The GOLIATH set-top box is expected to be released later this year.

Several prototype images of the GOLIATH / GOLIATH LIGHT have been circulating on the internet. The illustrations show two different designs, which we believe are either final possibilities for one casing, or the final designs for each model.

We can also reveal that the Goliath set-top boxes are to work with a new encryption system, PlusCrypt! What this will offer, we don’t yet know!
