💌 🫠💋 for the asks :)!
Soup!!! Thank you so much for these and for your patience while I procrastinated the fuck out of answering them 😭😭 SHDHDHSJ I appreciate you!! ❤️
💌 Do you prefer to write from the perspective of the snz/sick person or the caretaker? Do you see yourself as on or the other?
Answered here!
🫠 Is there anything you feel you consistently struggle with writing, snz or otherwise?
I talked about this on several of these asks but I gotta acknowledge my perfectionist tendencies here again 😭 There are times I will get so focused in on one little paragraph or tidbit that doesn't feel "right" (but in the grand scheme is probably FINE) that I frustrate myself 😭 I mean I guess it always feels like it's worth it in the end? But sometimes I think I tire myself out on it and it happens with almost every fic I write (some worse than others but still...it's basically just a part of the editing process at this point)
💋 Do you like to get feedback midway through, or do you hoard your drafts until they're complete? / Do you typically feel comfortable sharing your wips with other people?
I don't usually like to share things with anyone until I'm at a point that I would feel comfortable (or almost comfortable) posting! And while this could be the perfectionist in me, it's also just because my wips are sometimes so spotty (like I'll start by working on several disconnected scenes before writing the harder "in between stuff"- it makes sense to ME when I read it, but I wouldn't wanna share it with someone until everything was at the very LEAST connected shdhfhdh)
hello!!! i bring a lot incase you'd like them! I present you with 🌸💘💌🍦and 🥰 (feel free to answer them all, only a few, or use this ask to answer any I didn't send but you wanna talk about!!~ <33)
WAGH friend thank you so much for sending these!!! ❤️😭 sorry it's taken me so dang long to answer! I think I have just one more ask to answer after this, in case anyone thought I'd forgotten <3
🌸 Are there any sneeze related tropes you prefer to write?
Man...the way I'm having trouble actually recalling whether there's a pattern in the tropes I write 😭 LOL. I'm definitely drawn to anything that allows me to have one character receive unwanted attention over their sneezing though... teasing and humiliation themes are just too fun to write aha 🫣
💘 What are some of your favorite things you’ve written and why?
I really like most things I've posted here, but "Distraction," "No Restraint," "In Heat," and "Better?" I remember coming very naturally to me during the actual writing process. Not that I'm impatient when I write either, but it does feel ridiculously rewarding when everything just seems to flow out into the document without me having to fight for it LOL.
💌 Do you prefer to write from the perspective of the snz/sick person or the caretaker? Do you see yourself as on or the other?
I touched on this a little in another ask, but I think I've been relying more lately on the caretaker's perspective? Although I've been told I consistently swap between both perspectives in a lot of fics, which definitely satisfies all my desires a lot of times aha! As far as where I see myself, I am a lot more likely to put myself in the non-snz person's perspective, especially in cases where that person also has the kink- it's just natural that I do!
🍦What are your favorite vanilla tropes? Do you incorporate them into your snz writing?
Answered (sort of) here!
🥰 What’s one thing about your writing that you like?
Idk what it is, but it's honestly hard to hone in on one thing specifically? At least off the top of my head...but for how often I isolate and praise the things I like in other people's work, you'd think this would be an easy answer for my own 😅 idk, I think when I reflect on my writing as a whole, I usually reflect on the actual experience of creating it, rather than the end product (and that's what the creative process should be about in the end anyways, right?) If I sat back and read a bunch of my stuff, I could maybe find the words to describe what I like about my stuff, but for now this answer will hopefully suffice! 🥰
Loved the ge/to sick story u wrote PLS wrote more if u can
Anon!! I saw this come in on Friday but I have been at a con all weekend and there wasn't a good time to respond 😭 but I would remember what you sent throughout the weekend and smile! <3
I definitely would love to indulge in giving that guy a cold again someday...no promises ofc but I appreciate your enthusiasm so much! G/eto is just gorgeous as it is and it's only improved by being sick and sneezy 🫦
🍦💐🌹🤔😶🌞
YAY hi friend!!! :D I was hoping for a few of the ones you sent here EEEEE thank you! 🫶
🍦What are your favorite vanilla tropes? Do you incorporate them into your snz writing?
AUGH okay I so badly want to list some tropes here but my brain is LITERALLY BLANKING OUT LMAO 😭 but I CAN SAY that I do like to incorporate fun vanilla tropes in my writing, if they fit in well! I have to admit though that I feel like smut-based tropes are often the easiest to incorporate shdhdjsj it just works when I'm writing sneeze fet stuff that's already erotic in nature!!!! 🥴
💐When you write, do you perceive the story through either character's perspective (either the caretaker or the one snzing), or as a detached third party observer?
It really depends! I think lately my mind is drawn to the caretaker/person with kink/etc. but I find both perspectives tend to come out when I write! It usually isn't intentional most of the time either, although lately I've been trying to be more intentional about it- sometimes my process feels weird and chaotic if I don't really focus in on one perspective 😭 I feel like I don't often go towards the detached third party perspective? but some people around here are REALLY good at capturing this and it's honestly so sexy <3
🌹Do you consider yourself a perfectionist, writing wise?
YES and it is literally MY DOWNFALL LMAO 😭 I could probably create and write so much more in the time that I do those things if I didn't allow myself to nitpick the way I do 😭😭 but it's never been to the extent that I don't experience satisfaction with my work in the end- I DO always get to a place where I'm happy and proud of what I've written! It just takes a stupid amount of time sometimes because I'll get so caught up in "fixing" what are probably insignificant things in the grand scheme fbfbdjsjd
🤔 Do you consider your snzfics more sneeze driven, character driven, or plot driven? is the snz driving the plot, or is it an accessory to it?
Previously answered here!
😶 Is there anything you’ve been wanting to write that you haven’t gotten to yet, or that you don’t feel comfortable tackling at this point in time?
Lately I've been having a lot of urges to write for different fandoms, one of which is particularly kind of niche... it's a tad intimidating but like as soon as the mood (and the time) strikes me I am REALLY hoping to dive in!! 🤩 it's gotten to the point that every time my brain idles, I go into auto-brainstorming mode and basically end up writing bits and pieces in my head...that's always a sign to me that I MUST proceed with an idea tbh
🌞 Do you need a specific environment to write? Like music, a certain time of day, a certain type of place?
(This answer got really long, sorry LOL)
I think you know this about me already but GOD, there is nothing like writing in my freaking work office (which is so inconvenient because I need to do WORK in my work office 😔). I think part of it is just because those are my "productive" hours of the day so it feels natural to dive into creative work too sometimes...that and like, sometimes it subconsciously probably seems way more enticing than whatever project I'm working on for my job at a given time LOL. (Need to be clear that I LOVE my job, but like...let's be real, there are times where writing snz fic sounds WAY more interesting than administrative work sjdjfjsj)
Having said that, the majority of my writing is done on the couch at home, usually in the evening..if I decide I wanna write, it's often the last thing I'll do before I go to bed (unfortunately there is a high risk I will fall asleep this way, which I often do 😭 this is another! reason is takes me so freaking long to finish a fic sometimes LOL). Depending on the day I might work on things right when I get home, when I'm obviously more awake ahaha. But idk, I usually prioritize working out, dinner, errands, showering, etc. when I get home, because I love being able to sit down when I'm clean and comfortable (and accomplished!) to indulge in something creative/fun, be it writing or something else! On weekends, I might do it right when I wake up, or during the day if I'm home, assuming I feel motivated and don't have any other obligations. Weekends are also nice since I'm not afraid to indulge in caffeine in the evening and stay up for a few hours extra during those quiet hours of the house.
What else... While I don't have an issue writing with someone else in the room, it is obviously difficult to write and talk to someone at the same time. 😅 Writing when people are asleep or when I'm alone in my room is much more productive! I'm not usually one for music when I write- I have to be in a very particular mood for that. ASMR, on the other hand, really helps me LOCK tf in a lot of times!! Majority of the time though I'll write with the TV on/some kinda background noise- especially at night since my hope is it will keep me awake more LOL. 😭
Also more recently have noticed that driving for long periods really? Gets me in the mood to write? Especially when I'm heading home and I don't have the hype of upcoming plans on my mind. A lot of the highways I take for my regular road trips aren't crazy busy so it's easy to casually play with narration in my mind, and sometimes inspiration just loves to strike from seemingly nowhere when I'm driving??? Idk what the psychology behind it is but! It seems to work! Rarely do I sit in the passenger seat these days, but that is another spot I find it very easy to write in.
1️⃣🤔💦 for the ask meme!!
AHH hi!! Thank you for the ask!! 🥰
1️⃣ Do you remember the first fic you ever shared on the internet? Tell us about it!
Omg...I'm honestly so embarrassed by the first fic I posted over on the forum LOL. I was like 14 and it was a reader insert and...no, I fear I've said too much already 💀 Like okay, HONESTLY the fic wasn't nearly as crazy as some other things that are on that site, but it's cringe enough to me PERSONALLY that I can't elaborate LOL 😭🤣🤣 For as much as I'm shitting on it though, good on my younger self for having the balls to even consider posting her writing!
Actually though... if you wanna talk non-snz fanfiction, I think the first ACTUAL fic I ever posted anywhere was on fanfic.net...it was for uh. w/arrior c/ats SHDHDHS
I remember absolutely no details of it, nor would I even know how to find it at this point...but I recall it being a one shot where I was just messing around with the concept of a non canon ship I think?? Like a "what if it ended different" type of thing? I have no idea whether it was actually good but I recall feeling much less self conscious about posting that than anything sneeze I've ever written in my life LOL.
🤔 Do you consider your snzfics more sneeze driven, character driven, or plot driven? is the snz driving the plot, or is it an accessory to it?
Majority of the time, I think snz drives the plot for me! Or at least it FEELS like it does? Especially since when I'm brainstorming an idea, a lot of times it feels like the sneeze details of a given scenario come to me before the other elements of the plot unrelated to it do (most of the time, anyways). When I am able to write something though that feels more plot driven though (to me, at least), it feels refreshing and sometimes like I accomplished something special/difficult!
Idk, I'm curious now on how people who read my stuff would answer this! I think the way I view and digest my own work is often very different from the way people who read it do- I'm betting you guys might have a totally different answer in where you feel the "drive" of my writing focuses.
💦 Are your favorite snz tropes to read also your favorite ones to write? Elaborate if you want!
Generally speaking, yeah! But I also find equal joy in writing for tropes/scenarios that aren't as close to the top of my list. Going off that, I think I can enjoy damn near any trope honestly if a character I am interested in is involved! Or if the person writing is a friend! Idk, it's all about the positive associations sometimes... I think the question got away from me a little LOL but those are my thoughts, regardless of whether they are on topic yay! :D thanks again for dropping in! <3
HI 🪴🥳🤧💡!!!
HI RAHHHH thank you for the asks friend!!! >:) and for posting that list, it's so solid!! 🤩
🪴What is your editing process like? Are there specific things you tend to look for when editing your works?
My editing process is! Way more extensive than I would like tbh! LOL but basically I just...read my writing over and over and OVER (and over 💀) and make adjustments as I see fit. I look a lot at how sentences flow, and whether the substance of a given group of sentences compliments each other, sort of? Idk if I'm explaining it well (edit: actually what you said on the ask I sent you specifically about how your sentences need to compliment each other in structure is what I'm trying to get at here! You said it way better than I'm able to right now LOL) I put a lot of focus on that in the initial write of course, but I find I brush up on it a lot when editing too, usually from paragraph to paragraph.
I also constantly scan a given scene for what kinds of detail I can add, if it feels like a particular section needs something more. It usually involves me just putting myself within the scene and sort of scanning it for what I know would be visible/heard/what would be felt/etc. depending on whose perspective is most primary.
You'll also see me underline things a lot when I'm editing, usually if there's a sentence or phrase I used more than once and/or feels unnecessary in that section. But otherwise yeah, I generally just read over and over again until nothing sticks out to me as needing fixing!
🥳Do you read your writing after you've posted it?
I do! Usually more than once, idk sometimes I get in a mood where I just wanna read the things I've written again! And I consider this an achievement because previously I found it REALLY hard to read anything after it was posted...in fact the first two fics I posted on this account I still haven't found the courage 😭 (well, I think I at least partially read "Lightweight" back to myself but definitely not the one J/oJo one I have up ahhh 🫣 maybe someday...) Everything I posted after my first two fics though have been really easy to read back- it is definitely something I've become way less self conscious about the more I've shared stuff here!
🤧What's your process for writing spellings?
I think for me I usually just try to listen to what I hear in my head? Which like yeah, I suppose that's a pretty obvious way to say it LOL... But like, I'll usually have a basic spelling of that sound to start with, if that makes sense? And then I'll take that and tweak the letters as I see fit, to ensure that I'm not spelling the same exact sound over and over, especially where I'm trying to show progression of a fit. And sometimes I honestly just fuck around with them until they look good LOL, like take it from me and don't be afraid to just throw letters in there to see if they look right- I found some of my fave spellings that way! Usually the final thing I'll do is bold parts of those sneezes that are supposed to be particularly harsh or audible or! Whatever LOL!
I also do give a lot of attention to the way other writers might spell sneezes in their fics. I'll regularly put certain letter combos or other traits of a spelling in my mental back pocket, which I'll use whenever it feels appropriate to in my own fic! This has been a really helpful thing for me, so you can also take it from me to not be afraid to reference other people's spellings!
💡Do you find it easier to write ideas that come to you naturally or prompts requested by others?
Definitely ones that come naturally! I think it's just natural that I feel most comfortable dwelling on ideas that gradually came to me on my own, as opposed to an idea falling into my lap via someone else's big brain LOL. HOWEVER, I do sometimes enjoy the challenge that working on a prompt brings. In fact I think some of my stronger fics have come out of prompts people sent me, so kudos to them fr!
iOS hides mature content automatically and it can only be changed in the settings on the web
See but what's confusing me is that even when people HAVE changed their web settings, they still can't see posts on their phone at all- it's like the post doesn't even exist on their end 😭 Which I feel like can't be right bc I've definitely been able to look at "blocked" adult content posts on iOS...or at least I'm pretty sure I have? Idk man 😭
