Live action Nami x Male Reader 18+ : Y/n and Nami are married and Y/n is taking a shower and Nami joins him and they can’t keep their hands off each other.
Nami x male!reader
After a long day you finally felt relaxed with the hot water hitting your skin, steam filling the room as you washed the dirt off of you.
You hear the door squeak open and roll your eyes, boundaries weren't really a thing on this ship, “seriously? I can't have one peaceful shower without someone interrupting.”
The shower curtain pulls back and you instinctively cover yourself but to your relief it's Nami standing there, “you don't want my company?”
“Your company I will always take,” you chuckle, moving your hands away from your crotch as she sheds her clothes to join you.
The shower started off innocent enough, chatting and helping Nami wash her hair but when it came to soaping her up your hands lingered on her body, spending longer than you needed rubbing over her breasts. Your front is pressed to her back, your cock getting harder against her ass.
“I think they're clean enough,” she laughs.
“Are you sure? I still see a little bit of dirt right here,” you say cupping one breast while your thumb flicks over the others nipple.
“Hmm, actually I think there's some,” she starts, grabbing your hand and guiding it down between her legs, “here.”
“Would you look at that, you're right,” you grin, kissing her neck while your fingers find her entrance.
Two fingers tease her, working her up while your other hand continues to massage her breasts. When you find her clit she moans loudly, echoing through the room. She reaches a hand around and grabs your ass, grinding hers back into your cock.
“Oh fuck just like that,” she says throwing her head back on your shoulder while you rub firm circles over her clit.
Your cock is now fully hard and she can feel it, growing desperate for you to be inside her.
“Y/N,” she sighs, “fuck me.”
“It would be my pleasure,” you say, spreading her legs apart just enough to ease your cock inside.
“God yes,” she moans while you find a comfortable position and start moving your hips.
She plants her hands on the wall to keep her steady while you find a rhythm, your hands on her hips to let you thrust a little faster. She repositions herself trying to get a better angle but the water ends up spraying in her face so you pull out of her and turn her around so you can press her up against the shower wall, quickly entering her again.
“Better,” you ask, kissing her neck, her chest pressed into yours now.
“Oh fuck,” she moans.
“I'll take that as a yes,” you chuckle, her hands grasping at your back that water is now running down.
Her moans continue to echo around the shower as you steadily thrust into her for the next several minutes, eventually feeling her walls start to tighten around your cock. You reach a hand down looking for her clit again, knowing you found it when she cries out.
It doesn't take much longer for her to cum, her nails digging into your back as she rides out her high. She grabs your chin to bring you up to kiss her, continuing to slowly move your hips until her orgasm subsides.
The water suddenly starts to go cold and Nami yelps, “how are we out of hot water already?”
You switch the water off and pull out of her, still rock hard, “damn and I haven't finished yet.”
“I can help with that,” she grins, taking your cum soaked cock in her hand and stroking you.
She moves her hand faster, kissing along your chin and up under your ear.
“I'm gonna cum,” you sigh after minute or two of her touching you, Nami stepping to the side and stroking even faster, letting you cum all over the shower wall.
She smiles and kisses your shoulder, "satisfied now?”
“Very,” you smile, kissing her cheek, “we should probably get dressed and get out of here before someone else comes in and realizes we used up all the hot water.”
“Good idea I heard Zoro say he wanted to shower after he finished lifting weights,” she chuckles, “and you should probably clean that up too,” she says pointing to your cum on the wall.
“Right,” you reply, letting her step out of the shower before you turn the water back on and quickly rinse the wall and the lower half of your body off.
Once you're dressed you peek your head out the bathroom door thinking you are in the clear to sneak back to your room.
“You two better not have used up all the hot water,” You unfortunately hear Zoro quip behind you in the hallway.
slight nsfw, nothing too crazy, just nami and zoro being handsy with reader! this is my first time writing poly, i hope you enjoy!
“Seriously,” You grumble, shuffling closer to Zoro, needing his warmth, and Nami pressed her front to your back. “Idiot one and two can you let me sleep?”
Nami and Zoro weren’t interested in each other but they were interested in you. Only problem for Nami was Zoro made his move first and you were in love with him and when Nami confessed, you spoke to Zoro about it and he agreed to a poly relationship with Nami, with one term being that idiot one and two wouldn’t fight over you.
That proved difficult.
Zoro pressed his mouth to yours and when he did, Nami fondled your chest.
“Can…?” You whine, pushing them both away, then turning to Nami and when you did, she let you rest against her chest. “You let me sleep?”
Zoro pressed kisses from your forehead down to your jawline, and Nami caressed the top of your head.
“Sleep,” Nami says. “You deserve the rest.”
She pulls down her top so that the material of her shirt doesn’t scratch your skin, and Zoro continued to kiss you, rubbing himself against you.
It was too much. Still, you needed more.
You press your mouth to Nami’s and she responds, giving you a sloppy kiss, as Zoro massaged your chest.
Nami pressed kisses down to your jaw, whining when your hands found her ass, and when you pull her into you, she wasn’t complaining. You then pull Zoro into you.
Nami had her cheek on your left breast, Zoro had his cheek on your right breast.
“Can I sleep now?” Your breathing was heavy, and when Zoro’s hand massages your stomach, you hum.
You play with his hair, close your eyes, then run your fingers up and down Nami’s back.
“I love you both,” You whisper. “So much.”
“We love you too.” Nami whispers back.
“I only love Name.” Zoro huffed.
Nami grins. “The feelings mutual.”
When Zoro smirked, Nami’s grin softens, and she closed her eyes.
You watch them as they slept, and soon after you slept too.
Another installment of the Strawhat's littles series! I think Nami would actually make such a good caregiver, so this was especially fun to write! She can be so sweet and sneaky at the same time and was one of the things that made me adore her when I first started watching the show!
But regardless, I hope you enjoy <3
You were pouting on the deck of the ship, waiting impatiently for your mama to come back. She said she’d only be gone a short while, and the nagging worries in your mind made it hard to focus on anything. You hoped she didn’t get into any fights, knowing you were all famous pirates. It wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility, and only served to make you jittery.
Your pout quickly turned into excited beaming as you saw her rushing back to the ship with more bags in her hands than you thought one person could possibly carry. She looked elated, and you knew she always tended to be when it came to seeing you…and shopping in general.
“Hi baby!” She laughed, setting all the bags down quickly to lift you into her arms the second her feet touched the deck. Her giggles mirrored yours, and she rubbed your back excitedly. “I have surprises for you!” She gave you a spin, and gestured for you to rush back to your room. “I’ll be there in just a second!”
You didn’t question it, running excitedly to your room and bouncing on your heels in anticipation. It wouldn’t be the first time she bought you things, and you had to wonder just how many of those bags were for you, and how many were for her. Your mind raced giggling excitedly as you thought of what the surprises would be. Toys? Candies? Games? The possibilities were endless, and you knew it wouldn’t be long before you found out.
She shuffled into the room, setting each bag down. “Just so you know, I took extra special care to pick the best things!” She reached out and cupped your cheeks in her hands. “My baby deserves the absolute best!” Nami ran her thumbs along your cheeks, before booping your nose with her pointer finger.
It made you giggle and you muttered, “silly mama.” She gasped, placing a hand on her chest in faux surprise.
“I’m silly? What makes you think I’m silly?” But the corners of her mouth twitching into a smile told you all you needed to know. “What would that make you if I’m silly?” She took your wrist in her hand, looking it over dramatically. “No, see you have this little freckle riiiiight here. That’s the silly freckle.” She turned her arm to let you look, showing clear skin with no signs of the freckle in question. “Only silly people have that freckle, so that must mean I’m not silly!”
It made you laugh happily, poking her arms and cheeks. “No! Mama’s silly!” You barely managed to get the words out with how hard you were laughing. She most definitely was a silly mama, and even if she didn’t have the freckle, she had to be! But you weren’t going to fight her on it, not when you had surprises in those bags!
Nami sighed, shaking her head playfully. “But I guess I can’t keep hiding these gifts forever, so let’s get to it, yeah?” She grinned at you, lifting one of the bags and pulling out some clothes. They all seemed to be in your size, and some of your favorite colors, too! She obviously picked a couple orange ones, since she always liked to say it was similar to matching colors with you.
You gasped, running over and picking the clothes up from her arms. She had a mischievous glint in her eye, and kept handing you the clothes from the bag until you couldn’t see in front of you. You whined, trying to hold onto all of them. Though she seemed to take pity on you and grabbed the clothes and put each piece on the bed. They were sorted out by tops, bottoms, and full pieces. There was the occasional necklace, but the bags nearly entirely consisted of clothes in your size.
She clapped her hands in front of her, and mumbled, “time to get to work.” It settled in her mind, and she rummaged through to find any matching outfits she could. She’d hold them up as you stood beside her, as if placing them on you to find the best matches. Though after a few minutes of sorting, she patted your head. “These are going to look SO cute on my baby!” She practically squeaked, seemingly just as excited as you were.
Nami helped you take off and put on the clothes, stopping occasionally to tickle your sides. It took a long time, but neither of you cared. You’d do a little spin when you put on your favorites from the set, and beamed each time she complimented you. She had always been soft with you, and even though she could be tight with her money…she never once seemed to have issues buying you anything you wanted. Given it was at least remotely in reason.
That seemed to be overly apparent today, and while you didn’t see any price tags, you knew some of them probably cost a lot. She waved off any concerns, saying she’d spend every last beri she had if it meant buying you something you’d enjoy. It made you pout, but she wasn’t having it. She let out a sigh, and looked at you with a tender smile.
“Honestly, it’s not a problem. You’ve got a lot of big worries for someone so small.” She patted your cheeks, but flicked your nose lightly. “You’re the most important person to me…and besides, you buy me stuff too. If you wanna pay me back, just wear the clothes. It makes mama happy to know she got you something you love!” She laughed, leaning to kiss your forehead.
It seemed to settle all your worries instantly. You knew what she meant…because she’s the most important person to you, too. Ever since you met her, you knew you wanted to be with her. No matter if you were little or big, seeing her face light up when she saw you was more than enough to know you wanted to be hers forever. Knowing she had felt the same made your heart race, and always ended in sweet moments of tenderness and affection.
Even though it took hours to try on all the gifts she got you, it felt like no time passed at all. It wasn’t until some of the other crewmates were heard boarding the ship, that both of you realized you’d been trying on clothes and cuddling for hours. She shushed you, giggling as she pulled you down onto the bed to cuddle. She patted your head and rubbed your back, which made you yawn. It was an exciting day, and one full of affectionate words and sweet gestures.
Maybe when you were big, you’d try and get her surprises like this too. But for now, you were more than happy to fall asleep in her arms wearing an outfit that she picked out just for you.

➳ summary: Nico Robin celebrated her return to the field after months of stagnant office work by drinking alcohol with a long-time friend. Her drunkenness led her to adopt a sightless cat on the street, one that you and Nami would come to accept as your own.
➳ cross-posted on ao3
Saul was aware that Robin's alcohol tolerance was not made for her bar-hopping attitude, but the girl felt festive. He was in no position to reject her invitation when she invited him for a drink.
"Consider it a treat," she said over the phone. "I'll bring jam sandwiches."
Saul couldn't say no, given that the Cat Scratch Lounge didn't charge cheap for his favorite cocktails and Robin offered to bring bread and jam despite the odd looks from surrounding staff. But he later regretted that decision after she downed a lowball of Black Russian and lost count of her liver-killing intake for the night.
"Were the cosmopolitans not enough?" he muttered. Robin grunted beside him, her head limp in her hands. She signed to the bartender.
"To a week on the field!" She clenched her fist in a toast. Saul watched wordlessly as the bartender hustled behind the counter. "Back to the ruins, my playground in Alabasta—to the sand dunes and my expeditions."
Saul rolled his shoulders, jolting awake. He felt his pockets for his phone and brought it out. "That's enough. I'm calling your girls."
"Hey, hey . . . . " Robin raised her head, eyes half-lidded. She rested her cheek on an open palm. "Let's enjoy the night! I'll fill them in later."
"We've enjoyed enough," he said. Robin scowled.
"I have room for more . . . more until Tuesday," she insisted. She wanted to celebrate her return to the field after weeks on office duty, when all she did was answer emails and entertain phone calls in between archival work. She loved the job and earned plenty, but office tasks as an archaeology consultant were a huge letdown when an adventurous soul like her belonged on the field.
By heaven's grace, a new consulting party had urgent business on Sandy Island, which Robin happened to survey many moons ago. She was hired to co-lead the expedition immediately, and was scheduled to leave on Tuesday.
Today was Sunday, and she felt the need to kickstart her week with a whole lot of fun: alcohol and (now-eaten) jam sandwiches.
Saul navigated to his contact list and rang your number twice. The line cut off mid-ring on the third call.
"Dear me," he mumbled as his screen turned black. "Give me your phone, Rob."
The woman chuckled. "Oh, oh . . . . Did you change your mind?"
He frowned. "No, my phone's dead. The call didn't go through."
"Ah." Robin looked down at the table, where her phone was hidden under her arm. She slid the device toward him. "We have a group chat. It's more convenient to call."
Saul's stubby hands unlocked the device and scrolled to your chat group. Robin had a full battery, but there was no signal. He pursed his lips.
Having noticed his predicament, the woman smirked.
"Oh my. No signal?"
Saul waved at the bartender and pointed at the phone. "Is there free WiFi here?"
The bartender shook his head. Robin stretched her arms to the sky.
"Well, guess it's time for another drink," she mused.
"No." Saul abruptly locked her phone and stalled the bartender from approaching. He looked behind his shoulder, peering across the bar where a smoking lounge stood. Outside the room was a charging station.
"Something caught your eye?" asked Robin.
"A charging port. Come with me."
"We're leaving early?" she whined.
Saul gestured to the bartender and closed the tab. Although at odds with his decision, Robin didn't protest. She could get drunk all she wanted, but she would listen to Saul at the end of the day. He always seemed to know best, second to her mother.
With a couple thousand berries charged to her name, Robin followed her friend out of the bar and into a small recess across the room, where the charging station stood. Saul hooked his phone to a vacant socket after spending a costly fee, then held his hand out expectantly.
"Give me your cell. I'll find signal while you stay here," he ordered.
Robin shrugged, her phone now deep in her pockets. "Why can't I do it?"
"You're intoxicated," the man stressed. "My dear Olvia would not approve of you going outside alone."
Robin smiled, poking her cheek with her tongue.
Saul liked to talk about Olvia. They were old friends before Marine occupation tagged her for rebellion and shot her down. It had been many years since then, but despite the pain, Olvia remained alive in every passing conversation and waking moment. Sometimes Robin felt that her mother was watching from afar, like Olvia was just right around the corner and waiting for the right time to come back into their lives. With Saul's fatherly senses acting up, she wondered if Olvia was watching right now, too.
Suddenly, she raced to the door. Saul squealed. He tried to reach out to her, but Robin was quick. The man struggled with the charging ports before following her out of the bar and stumbling into rush hour hell.
Robin managed to run a few blocks ahead, swerving through street vendors and foot traffic before winding up at a calmer street. She held her phone above her head and watched as the signal returned. Notifications rushed one after the other as work emails and spam messages piled into her inbox, but she didn't miss the most important of them all—with a total of four notifications, the missed calls from you.
"Mrrao."
Robin looked at the ground. A cat not above two feet tall meowed about, its tail swaying in the air as it stepped closer to her knee-high boots. She sunk to her knees and patted its head. The cat rubbed itself against her touch, feeling the warmth of her hand.
Then she noticed its eyes. Its copper eyes were hidden by hazy white clouds behind the lenses. Despite its condition, the cat stared at her, almost like it could see her through the haze.
With a free hand, Robin swiped open her messages. She texted:
Robin: Hi darling can you pick us up
You read the message immediately. Robin knew that Nami wasn't going to let her slide for tonight's bad behavior, so she texted you instead. The perks of having two partners.
You: heyy, i got you! are you good? and saul?
You: you both weren't picking up
Robin: I'm O.K. But not with saul. Battery died
You: oh alright
You: you said "us" tho?
The cat purred as Robin rubbed its cheek, its eyes falling close and its whiskers bending forward. It was clearly a street cat with a heartbreaking condition and no place to call home. Robin's shoulders loosened as the cat's black coat rubbed against her boot.
She replied to your text.
Robin: I adopted cat
You: you adopted /a/ cat?
Robin: Da
You: …so you're at the adoption center?
Robin: Nyet
Robin: Sidewalk
You: ???
Robin: Cat-aract
You: idek why i asked, you're drunk…
You: can you please send me your loc and stay there before i freak out? lol
Robin did as you asked and sat there in silence, the cat now cradled in her arms. She had a soft spot for cute things, and cats were one of her weaknesses. Her only problem with this whole adoption thing now was your approval and Nami's, but it shouldn't take too much convincing for you to officially own one . . . or so she thought.
You were in the middle of making dinner when your phone vibrated on the counter. You hadn't realized that Saul rang you twice before then. When you noticed, the ringing stopped.
It was your turn to call, but he didn't pick up. Robin was your next resort.
"Come on, Rob. Pick up," you worried. You knew that she was out tonight with Saul to celebrate a work achievement, but that was about it. Robin should be generally safe wherever she and Saul may be, but it worried you that the man called twice.
Saul never called twice. He would only call you with this much urgency if something went horribly wrong, which had only happened once. (He and Robin were stranded on the road when a snowstorm hit, and the nearest bed and breakfast was seventeen kilometers away.) Considering that you hadn't heard from her the entire evening, it got you thinking if anything terrible did happen, and you just missed all of it.
With that, you rang them a few more times before pre-writing a text message to Nami, whom you shouldn't be bothering at a time like this, but Robin texted before it went through.
Robin: Hi darling can you pick us up
As soon as you learned about the cat situation, you hopped into your car and drove to the neighboring city. By the time you pulled up to Robin's location, she had reunited with Saul. She held his jacket in her arms, a pair of black ears peeking from the garment.
You parked across the street and raced toward your girlfriend. "I thought you weren't with anybody," you said, bending down to match Robin's crouched position. The cat purred as you approached it, and you gasped upon seeing its visionless eyes. "Poor little thing! That explains your cataract text."
Robin giggled. Saul sighed beside her, his hands falling to his hips.
"Sorry for letting her run away," he apologized. "Your man is getting old."
You smiled reassuringly. "All good. Nobody was harmed, and Robin even bagged a cute cat."
You reached out to pet the animal, but it avoided your touch. You tried to rub its head.
Suddenly, it attacked you.
"Ow!" you screamed, jumping away.
The cat scratched your hand the moment you tried to pat it. Robin drew the cat close to her chest, shielding it away from you.
Saul looked aghast as the cat continued to hiss. You wept while the pain settled in, a thin shallow mark forming on the back of your hand.
"I didn't know it was hostile!" Robin exclaimed. She looked down at the cat, perplexed. "It couldn't see . . . . Maybe it sensed danger?"
You groaned, rubbing the fresh wound. "Yeah, the danger being me? Geez." Your phone buzzed in your pocket. "One sec."
Nami: robin did what now
"It's Nami," you told the two.
You: okay pretty, don't freak out. it's just a cat
You: a cat that scratches… but it's whatever
Nami: scratches?
You: it scratched me :(
Nami: you're telling me that robin adopted a grumpy cat after running away from saul ??
You: yes
You: wait, how did you know about saul?
Nami: he has a phone too yk
Nami: he called meee
You: ah, i didn't think he would
Nami: what is that supposed to mean ??? smh
Nami: anyway i was rlly worried but i'm omw. sit still pls
You: okay, okay. aren't you at work tho?
Nami: not anymore ! dismissed the kids early
"Nami's coming," you announced. You helped Robin back up on her feet while you avoided the cat in her arms, then pointed at your car. "Let's go elsewhere while we wait for her."
You drove the three of you to the nearest convenience store and waited in the parking lot, with Robin and the cat occupying the backseat. Saul looked behind him in worry, having noticed the cat's constant meowing throughout the ride.
He unbuckled his seatbelt. "I'll find the cat something to eat. Do you want anything?"
"A bottle of water for the lady behind me would be nice. And maybe something for the scratch wound?" you said. He nodded, then left. As the door shut closed, you turned around to face the cat. "You think it's still mad at me?"
Robin lulled the cat to sleep, its eyes closing in defeat. It felt safe enough to welcome fatigue now that it was nestled in her arms with Saul's warm jacket. She shrugged. "I don't know."
You sighed. You loved animals as much as your girlfriends did. It never crossed your mind to own one together, but you weren't opposed to it. Unfortunately, the one animal that Robin would love to keep didn't seem to like you very much, and it frankly broke your heart that it was adverse to your touches.
"Do you actually want to adopt it?" you asked.
Robin stared blankly. Then she blinked, her cerulean blue eyes glinting in the low light. "Do you?"
"Oh, you— you just returned the question." She smiled cheekily. "I would love a cat at home to keep me company. You and Nami aren't exactly around most of the time."
Robin raised the cat to her face and rubbed her cheek on its head like a mother would. The cat purred. You seemed welcoming of the adoption, which she was thankful for. Since you and Nami moved into her flat, you had been doing most of the housework given the work-from-home setup at your newest job. With Nami's freelance tutoring and Robin's consultant position, you three had a lot of time off from each other to spend by yourselves, but Robin understood just how lonely it could get. It didn't surprise her that you craved company whenever they were gone.
"Well, I look forward to the day it warms up to you," she said. "That's one down. All that's left is Nami's approval."
You nodded. "She'll approve of it, surely. She likes cats just as much as you do."
Suddenly, your phone vibrated in your hand.
Nami: i'm here !
"Nami's here," you quoted. You looked out the window and saw Nami crossing the street, her bookbag slung across her body.
You and Robin piled out of the car as she ran toward you. With arms wide open, she engulfed you both in a hug before feeling the animal press against her chest.
"Oh," said the girl, having noticed the cat a second too late.
"It's a blind cat," Robin chirped.
Nami bent down to meet the animal. The cat peeped from Saul's jacket and looked her in the eye, its feeble limbs holding onto the fabric as its ears perked up. Nami stared back, noting its visually impaired state.
Then she gasped.
"Where did you find this cat?" she asked.
"Uh . . . . " You turned to Robin.
"Sidewalk," answered Robin. "Blind cat by the bar."
"And it approached you alone?" Nami asked further. Her girlfriend nodded. "Oh my goodness."
Your eyebrows furrowed. "What— what's wrong?"
"Rob, this is a miracle!" Nami summoned her phone and navigated to a digital photo album, one that you've passively seen on her phone before. She clicked on an old photo and flashed Robin her screen.
"Your brightness is too high," Robin complained as she shielded her eyes, but she saw the photo before anything else. "Oh. Is it really?"
"What in the world are you looking at?" You leaned into Robin to see the photo, and there it was: a scrawny black cat in a soggy cardboard box, drenched in rainwater as flood overflowed behind it. Its copper eyes were similar to the cat's in Robin's arms, but the white clouds behind its lenses were merely a pearly-white sheen that glossed over its irises.
"It's the cat I used to feed at my old apartment," Nami explained. "It showed up during a thunderstorm with three others, but they disappeared overnight and left this one behind. It ran away from the complex weeks before I moved out."
"I take it that the others were fine?" you assumed.
"The rest were abled, but there's no telling what happened after they disappeared." She tried to pat its head, and the cat let her. It nuzzled its face into her palm. "It remembers me! Robin, you work miracles!"
"Guess I'm a cat repellent then," you mumbled bitterly.
Saul exited the convenience store with a paper bag of canned goods and necessities. Robin, still hammered from all the alcohol she drank, let Nami take the cat as she emptied half a bottle of water. Saul got the memo after you filled him in, and he led you to a public restroom to nurse your scratch wound.
When you came back, Robin was noticeably giddy. She teased the cat as she bit into a pre-packaged box cake, while Nami swung the animal around in glee.
It was when Robin tried to feed it a spoonful of chocolate cake that you called it a night.
"Alright, we're going home." You tugged Robin's sleeve to pull her away from the animal, then stabilized her when she tripped over her feet. "No, Robin, you cannot feed the cat chocolate! Geez! I'm getting the car."
"And I'll find this cat a box." As you led Robin to your car, Nami stalked down the back alley with Saul in search of cardboard. Saul spotted a small soda box and placed the cat inside the temporary dwelling.
Some time later, you parted ways with Saul after you drove him home. On the ride back to your city, Nami agreed to adopt the feline.
"I'm sure we can make it work," she said. "Not all cats are friendly at first meeting."
"If it makes you feel better, the scratch was practically nothing," you reassured. "As long as it doesn't go feral while I cook dinner, everything is going to be okay. Speaking of dinner, does take out sound fine? I don't feel like cooking after this."
Robin shot you a thumbs up from the backseat, chocolate cake finished, and the cat box on her lap.
"You were cooking dinner?" asked Nami.
"For us," you replied. "Don't worry about the house burning down. I checked the kitchen before leaving."
"No, it's just, what were you cooking?"
"The pantry is overflowing with tangerines after last week's harvest, so spicy chicken and citrus dishes." You had a tangerine grove in your backyard after Nami transplanted a bunch of trees from her sister's farm. You had invented many recipes since the first harvest.
Shifting in her seat, Nami grabbed your hand and brought it up to her nose. "That's it!"
You made a face. "Girl, what? We're sniffing hands now?"
She shook her head. Robin laughed from behind.
"Cats hate citrus. They loathe the smell of acid. The cat probably smelled tangerine on your fingers and got scared," Nami reasoned.
"That makes sense. It scratched you to protect itself since it couldn't see," Robin added.
Stunned by the news, you sighed in relief.
You were not the problem.
"Does that mean we can't let the cat outside?" you asked.
Nami caressed her cheek in thought. "Backyard is off-limits, but there's a park nearby where it should be safe. We'll figure it out in time."
As you pulled up to your home, Robin and the cat were fast asleep. You carried Robin to your room, while Nami hauled the cat in a cardboard box and the bags of takeout from the trunk.
The night ended quietly thereafter, with a new addition to your quaint home.
All thanks to Robin's ventures at the Cat Scratch Lounge that Sunday.

Doesn’t fully understand the term “PDA”, he just knows he likes kissing you and holding you, and he doesn’t really care who sees it. It often leaves you a blubbering mess in front of the other Straw Hats, repeatedly apologising after a particularly long kiss from Luffy.
“Oi, (Y/N), why are you apologising? I liked it!” Nami gave him a bonk on the head for that one.
You frequently wonder what Luffy considers a relationship to be; most of the time he just treats you like everyone else. Which is fine; you obviously weren’t dating him to get any special privileges. But to know he values you differently from the others would be nice.
That moment comes unexpectedly too, during dinner one night on the Sunny. You sat by Luffy, like always; your meal quite small. You hadn’t been feeling so great this past week and had asked Sanji to shrink your meal down for your low appetite. Luffy, however, didn’t like the sight of such a sad plate and, without hesitation, offered you some meat.
The entire room went quiet; Usopp and Chopper had their jaws on the ground.
“What’s everyone lookin’ at?” he huffed, still holding the meat in his hand.
On nights where you’re on guard, he sometimes joins you. He wraps his arms around you to keep you warm, often falling asleep first and using you as his pillow.
And when he’s wide awake in the morning, jumping for joy when a new island comes into view, he’s grabbing your hand first and jumping straight to land.
He keeps your hands intertwined, holding you close in case anything were to jump at you.
If you’re in an uninhabitable jungle, he fends off all the bugs and monsters. But if you’re in a nice village or city, he drags you over to all the market stalls, drooling at the food and umming and awing at the trinkets.
You laugh at his goofiness, his own grin warming your soul.
“You have a nice smile, Luffy.”
“Thanks, you have a nice face!” he beams, your cheeks blushing in response.
⚔️Zoro⚔️:
Isn’t big on PDA; the most he will do in front of the crew is seek you out when he naps. Anything to do with kissing or hugs is strictly private. Sanji is pretty sure Zoro is incapable of doing those things, truth be told.
Zoro’s way of affection is in how he protects you and trains you to protect yourself. You weren’t weak by any means, but Zoro likes to be prepared for anything. He doesn’t want to relive Sabaody.
Zoro likes to join you when you’re on night duty; you both sit and watch the stars, enjoying the silence.
When you’re both alone, he acts a lot more like a romcom boyfriend. He yawns while putting his arm around your shoulders, holds your waist when you’re coming down the last few steps on the ladder, lets you walk through doorways first.
Like previously stated, his affection comes through his training. Once he thinks you’re ready, he allows you to train with swords.
“Just in case you ever need to use them.”
“Can I use yours?”
“No.”
Be prepared to sit and watch him train for hours, too. But you don’t mind that; you love watching him work on new techniques and practising forms.
A lot of your relationship is Usopp and Nami begging you to get Zoro to take a bath more than once a week. But what they don’t know is that Zoro regularly showers.
You had once brought him some nice soap from a small shop; he was at first outraged and offended by the notion. But he soon started using it and fell in love with the scent because it was the same as what you used.
During battles, he knows he can’t protect you forever. But even when separated, he keeps his eye on you. And whoever hurts you should pray to God, as Zoro will ravage them until they can no longer move. No one hurts you and gets away with it.
He stays close to you if you are injured, even when back on the Sunny. If you are bed-bound, he won’t leave your side, doing everything he can to make you feel better.
“I need to be stronger, I need to train-”
“Hey, don’t beat yourself up, who’s going to look after me if you do?” You mused, a weak smile gracing your lips. Zoro only huffed in response, but you soon found his hand intertwined with yours.
🍊Nami🍊:
Nami is still sometimes a very secretive and private person, although not as bad as before her time on the crew. She still prefers to keep some moments private, and that includes you.
She’s not big on showing PDA unless it’s after an intense battle or she’s completely drunk.
During big celebrations, she’s usually all over you, lying on your lap, playing with your fingers or her head on your shoulder. It was well known that if you couldn’t find Nami at one of these events, find you and she wouldn’t be too far away.
During big battles, when the opposing side has finally lost, she’ll search for you straight away. Running over to you and check for any injuries. During Whole Cake Island, you both got separated, having to deal with your own demons.
“Oi, Nami!” you shouted, seeing that ginger hair a mile away. Before you knew it, Nami had crushed her lips onto yours. Her full body weight nearly toppled you over, “Don’t ever leave me again!” she scolded.
Be prepared to be scolded a lot, not as much as the boys do, but enough. It’s not that she’s mean, but she cares deeply about you; she doesn’t want to see you doing anything stupid. And you’re not going to be given any special treatment.
When you arrive at a new island, expect to follow Nami’s lead; she has everything planned out for the perfect day. She’ll take you through little markets, find cute clothing stores and cafes and end the trip with a sunset on a beach or hillside.
Although Nami is known to be a little cheap with her berries, she will sometimes splurge when she sees something has caught your eye. Buuuut, it is still Nami we’re talking about here; she’s still a pirate who will not pay ridiculous prices.
“Did you steal that?”
“Yeah, but I stole it for you, so it’s cute and romantic.”
🎯Usopp🎯:
Usopp still gets a little embarrassed during PDA; it’s not that he hates it, he’s just not used to someone like you giving someone like him any attention.
So whenever you give him a peck on the cheek, or wrap your arms around him, he’s a blushing, mumbling mess.
He loves to play pranks with you; he learnt the hard way to include you in his hijinks.
“I said I was sorry!”
“You covered me in cola and feathers!” Definitely learnt his lesson.
Usopp loves exploring new islands with you, particularly if they have any cool plant life. He will hold your hand and drag you along if anything catches his eye.
On slower days aboard the Sunny, Usopp will sit and beg you to play some board games with him, which you usually do; who could say no to a face like that?
When it’s your birthday, he plans a party with the whole crew. He takes charge and becomes erratic if something isn’t going to plan. You still love it anyway, even if the cake has a few bite marks in it.
It’s during your birthday that Usopp reveals his secret project. He’d been working on it for months without you ever figuring it out; he had to thank Franky for the most part.
It was a new weapon for you to try out. It was everything you could have ever dreamed of, all in one! Usopp was going through it with you, pointing at buttons and dials, rubbing his hand on the back of his neck; a habit of his when he was nervous.
“I’m still figuring out the kinks; it’s not exactly perfect-”
“I love it!”
🍽️Sanji🍽️:
Loves PDA, will happily smother you in kisses in front of the others, much to their displeasure.
Sanji would do almost anything for you, no matter how embarrassing or stupid. You want your drink with a tiny pink umbrella; he’ll dig through an entire box just to find one for you.
He often cooks your favourite meals, even if you’ve had the same thing for three days.
“Cook, do something else; this food is boring.”
“Absolutely not! If (Y/N) is enjoying it, I will keep cooking it! Go and make your own meal, Mosshead!”
During night shifts, Sanji will join you on the crowsnest. He wraps a blanket around you, basking in the warmth your buddy emits next to him.
While you’re watching the stars, you can feel his eyes on you.
“The stars are beautiful, aren’t they?”
“They sure are.” He’s definitely not looking at the stars right now.
Once a week, Sanji will ask Brook to play a slow song on his violin and will offer his hand to you. When you gladly accept, he swings you around to the rhythm. Your bodies are pressed close, your breath fanning across his lips.
Even if you’re not that great at dancing, Sanji takes the lead. He doesn’t say a single thing when you step on his toes.
If you ever get sick or injured, Sanji is right there to help. He’ll make you soup for your colds, ice cream for your fevers and demand Chopper when you’re hurt.
“CHOPPER, YOU DAMN REINDEER, WHERE ARE YOU!”
“Sanji, I’m right here.”
“Oh.”
If you smoke, he’ll offer you a cigarette. You both stand at the back of the ship watching the sunset, your hands linked and swinging freely in the breeze.

"Where's Ace?" Luffy asked after finally making it back to the crew, looking out over the edge of the Merry.
It was just supposed to be a simple restock in Nanohana before heading out on the planned trek to Alubarna. But Smoker and his Marines had other plans.
Neither side had expected a flaming man to jump into the fray.
Or that said man was Luffy's brother.
"Wait, you just left him?" Usopp asked.
Everyone was so relieved that Luffy finally made it back, that none of you had considered Ace.
"Um, sort of," Luffy rubbed the back of his neck with a smile. "But don't worry. Ace is really strong."
That seemed to be an understatement. He had managed to take on Smoker, who Luffy and Sanji couldn't even defeat back in Loguetown.
"How strong is he?" Chopper asked.
"Let me put it like this. When we were younger, I was never able to beat him in a fight. And this was before he ate a Flame-Flame Fruit."
Nami said what you were all thinking. "There's a flesh and blood person that you couldn't beat?"
"Yep, Ace used to beat me up all the time!" Luffy answered, laughing at the fond memories. "I bet I could kick his ass now."
"So..."
A figure appeared in the air behind Luffy and landed on the railing, knocking Luffy forward a few inches.
"...whose ass is getting kicked?"
And there was Ace, not even looking like he'd just fought off Smoker himself.
You couldn't deny the fact that he was quite hot, literally and figuratively. And it wasn't just his total lack of a shirt either.
"Ace! This is my crew!" Luffy proudly gestured to all of you.
"Nice to meet you," Ace said, hopping down onto the deck. "and thanks for taking care of my little brother. I know he's a handful."
The crew's voices all overlapped with some variation of "No, not at all". He was, in fact, a handful, but he was your handful.
Ace smiled. "You're good people."
Sanji took out a brand new cigarette. He needed it after the last few minutes. "Well, sit down and relax. I'm sure you two have a lot of catchin' up to do. I'll make some tea."
"Thank you. That's thoughtful, but I don't want to impose."
Hot and polite?
Ace raised his hand up, and the end of Sanji's cigarette caught fire, settling into a bright red cherry.
"Are you sure you two are brothers?" Nami asked, skeptical. They seemed quite different. If only she'd known how Ace used to be before his lessons from Makino, she might not question it at all.
"There's definitely a resemblance," you said.
Ace's eyes were drawn to you when you spoke, and he gave you a smile that you were sure had made many people go weak at the knees. "Luffy never mentioned having the prettiest girl on the Grand Line on his crew."
You choked at his words, cheeks quickly warming up even as Luffy innocently asked "I do?"
"And he never mentioned that he had such an impressive brother," you managed to say.
"It wasn't that impressive," Sanji muttered, taking a drag from his cigarette.
"Oh, the Smoker thing? That was nothing."
You had a sneaking suspicion that he wasn't exaggerating.
"Guys, we've got trouble!" Usopp called, bringing everyone's attention to the group of ships heading right for the Merry.
"Those are Baroque Works Billions!" Vivi had seen plenty of them in the years she'd been Miss Wednesday. Trouble was right.
"Leave it to me. I'll handle them."
With that Ace was off the ship again faster than anyone could say anything, landing on a small boat he'd tethered to the Merry.
Nami looked over the edge of the ship. "He's going all by himself?"
"I wouldn't worry about him," Zoro said, arms crossed over his chest. "They don't let just anyone become the Second Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates."
"He's a commander? Wow." You leaned on the railing, curious to see what Ace had up his sleeve to deal with this.
Ace rode his little boat straight towards the Billions ships and...jumped clear over them. Fire burst around him, glowing in the sky, his boat coming to meet him on the other side of them and allowing him to safely land. His fist turned to a roaring flame as he reared it back.
"FIRE FIST!"
From his hand came a huge ball of flame, blowing through each ship one by one as if they were toys. Their burning remains were all that was left in the water as Ace's hand extinguished. And he simply pushed the brim of his hat up with a finger.
"Luffy, your brother is extremely cool."
If his joyous laughter was anything to go by, Luffy agreed with you wholeheartedly.
In contrast to the heat of the daytime, the desert nights turned out to be much colder than any of you, besides Vivi, thought
The crew sat around the fire, warming themselves as Sanji roasted meat for dinner. You were next to him, chilly hands held out towards the warmth.
"Some s'mores would be so good right now," you said to no one in particular.
"Ooo, what are s'mores?!" Luffy asked from where he and Usopp were hugging Chopper, getting any bit of warmth they could.
During your time with the crew, you'd been surprised by some of the things that did and didn't exist in this world—especially the anachronisms like electricity and handheld cameras. Just another thing to add to the growing list of differences, you supposed.
"Well, you roast a marshmallow, then you take it and a piece of chocolate and sandwich them between two graham cracker squares. Classic camping food."
"That sounds so good!" Luffy was practically salivating at the thought. "We need to make those sometime! Sanji, you've gotta get that stuff next time you go shopping!"
Sanji smirked, turning the meat to keep the cooking even. "I'll add it to my list."
"Sorry for giving you more work," you whispered to him.
"No need to be sorry. If there's somethin' you like, I wanna make sure we have it."
You smiled softly, you attention returning to the fire. "You know, Usopp, I'm surprised you're not telling us campfire stories."
"I would," Usopp answered, his teeth chattering. "But I'm too c-cold!"
"I could tell a story. One from my world," you said with a shrug. "Can't have a fire without a story."
"What kind of story?" Vivi was sitting with Nami, their arms wrapped around each other to keep warm.
"Maybe a scary one–"
"Nope!"
"–or not," you finished, smirking at Usopp's instant refusal. "Hm..."
A story. A good one...
The sand beneath you gave you an idea.
"Alright. A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away..."
It must have been a good hour or so later. Everyone except Nami and Vivi, who had retired to the girl's tent a while ago, was listening intently. Even Zoros interest was piqued whenever there was a lightsaber battle. The cold had stopped bothering Usopp and Luffy, who were completely enraptured by this outlandish space tale along with Chopper.
Taking a page from Usopp's book, you were animated as you could be considering you were still recovering from an injury, doing the voices and everything.
"'Obi Wan never told you what happened to your father.' 'He told me you killed him.' 'No'," dramatic pause, "'I am your father'."
Luffy reacted immediately, his eyes wide. "WHAT?!"
Usopp shook his head. "No way, Darth Vader can't be his father!"
"He's lying, right?" Chopper leaned forward in his seat, hooves on his cheeks. "He's not really Luke's father, is he? Is he?"
Amused by their reactions, you looked over at Sanji, who was smiling as he snuffed out the butt of his cigarette.
"You'll just have to wait until tomorrow night. All this talking is wearing me out."
As fun as it was to tell a well-known story from your world to friends who had never heard it before, your lungs were still healing. And you didn't want to push yourself too much in that regard.
"Nooo, I want to hear more," Luffy begged, but you shook your head.
"Sorry, captain."
Sanji took your side here, having noticed that you were losing a bit of steam towards the end. "I think it's about time for us to turn in anyway." He called to Zoro, who stood looking out over the horizon, ready for anything that might come. "Hey, mosshead. Can you handle being on watch all by yourself?"
"Better than you could."
Nami and Vivi were fast asleep when you entered the tent, cuddled together. And when you laid down next to them, Nami woke up just enough to pull you in with them to share the warmth.
You didn't think you'd end up in a prison cell underneath a casino—with Smoker, of all people—or for the only key to be fed to a weird banana-headed alligator.
But that was just how life was with the Straw Hats. Things rarely went as planned.
And now, the room was filling up with water after Crocodile and Miss All Sunday left you all to drown. Or be eaten by a bananagator. Whichever came first.
Vivi tried to fight one of the beasts on her own, but it was futile. It had her on the floor and bleeding when–
A transponder began to ring.
"Someone's calling," said Miss All Sunday, taking the small snail from her coat pocket. "Yes?"
"Hello? Can you hear me?"
That voice...
"Yes, we can hear you. You're a Millions, right?"
"Hurry up and state your business," said Crocodile.
You and the rest of your imprisoned crewmates looked at each other, clearly having the same suspicions. After all, he was one of the two who weren't in the cell with you.
"This is the shitty restaurant. May I take your reservation?"
Oh yeah. Definitely Sanji.
Crocodile took the transponder in his hand. "The shitty restaurant..."
"Ring a bell? It should, but in case it doesn't, maybe this'll jog your memory: Little Garden."
"We have five out of six Straw Hats locked in a cell. You're not the pet, so who are you?"
"Me? Well, you can just keep callin' me Mr. Prince."
Luffy took a big breath and began to scream at the top of his lungs. "SAN–"
You clapped a hand over his mouth. "Stop it!"
"They don't know about him, so let's keep it that way," Usopp added. "He's our ace in the hole!"
That seemed to be going well until...BANG!
"Not so tough now. We've got him, sir. Don't worry. He won't be going anywhere."
You gasped, grabbing onto Nami's hand.
But there was no way Sanji could be taken down by some random goons, and that was confirmed for you all just a few minutes later.
"It's really impolite to make a lot of noise at mealtime like you were doin'. I'll teach you how to behave." Sanji kicked the bananagator that had just tried to eat you all square in the stomach. "Bad Manner Kick Course!"
The gator was sent flying across the room as Sanji ashed his cigarette into the water and blew out a puff of smoke.
"Hey, guys. Been waitin' long?"
Usopp and Luffy cheered, but Zoro wasn't having it. "Don't just stand there! Find the key and get us out of here."
Sanji ignored him and looked right at you, tipping his sunglasses down. "What do you think, angel? Impressive? Extremely cool?"
Nami groaned.
You couldn't help a little laugh. "I'll review your performance after you get us out."
"Idiot cook," Zoro mumbled under his breath.
Living on a ship as small as the Going Merry, you'd gotten used to not having a ton of privacy. It was just the nature of living out on the sea.
Still, you weren't fully comfortable with the whole bath house set up. Though it did help that it was just you and the other girls, not a man in sight.
And you weren't going to complain about a nice full clean after days of walking through the desert and fighting assassins.
A lovely floral scent filled the steamy air as you washed the sweat and remnants of sand from your hair. The hot water did wonders on your bruised and cut skin, and you sighed as the warmth sank in down to your bones.
Crocodile was defeated, and so were the rest of Baroque Works. Vivi had finally managed to save her home. Everything was as it should be, and it was weight off of everyone's shoulders.
Especially the the princess.
You glanced over and found Vivi diligently rubbing a cloth across Nami's back, a soft smile on her face. And you couldn't help smiling too. Not that you ever thought Luffy would lose to Crocodile, but it was nice to see your friend so relaxed.
The conversation between Nami and Vivi didn't really catch your attention too much, especially as you were so focused on getting clean so you could go soak for a while. But you caught a name. Koza. The leader of the rebellion, and Vivi's friend who was still recovering from being shot.
"What's up with you and Koza anyway?" you asked, using a little stream of water to rinse the shampoo from your hair.
Vivi stopped washing Nami's back for just a moment. "Do you mean–? No, it's nothing like that. He's just a childhood friend."
"Oh." You wouldn't have been surprised to learn that Vivi had had someone waiting for her back home this whole time. "It seemed like there was something going on there."
Nami looked back at Vivi with a smirk. They couldn't really blame you. Vivi always waited until after you left for your morning coffee with Sanji to sneak into bed with Nami.
Speaking of...
"You mean like you and Sanji?" Nami asked before turning back towards you. She'd held her tongue about this long enough.
It was your turn to stop what you were doing. "Huh?"
"Really?" Vivi asked with a laugh. "It's so obvious."
Nami did a mocking impression of Sanji's voice. "My radiant angel, am I impressive? Do you think I'm cooler than Ace? Please please please tell me I did a good job!"
Vivi chuckled, but you did not.
"He didn't say it like that."
"He may as well have." Vivi countered. "He flirts with you all the time, dotes on you..." She'd seen quite a bit of it first hand when tied up in the galley as Miss Wednesday.
You rolled your eyes, not even considering what they were saying. "And you two. And every woman."
"But he does it way more with you. And you're the only one that flirts back," Nami pointed out.
"Because he's my friend and it's fun. I don't take it seriously and neither does he."
That didn't convince either of them, because they looked at each other and laughed.
You continued, scrubbing your arms with a cloth and being careful of the cuts from Miss Doublefinger. "Sanji's a really great guy, I'm just not interested in that. I don't know how it works here, but where I'm from, women don't tend to want men who fall all over themselves for every single woman they meet. It usually doesn't end well."
"You have a point," Nami said.
"Besides, do you guys really think it's a good idea to get involved with someone when you live on a small ship in the middle of the ocean? Just imagine how awkward a break up would be."
Vivi handed the cloth back to Nami so she could continue washing herself, ignoring the fact that the two of them had done that very thing already. "You're a lot more cynical than I thought."
Finally, you laughed, thinking back to past relationships. "If you could meet the people I've dated, you'd understand." Casting your eyes to the floor, your mind went to the thing you'd been trying so hard not to think about, the thing that had been keeping you up at night ever since leaving Drum Kingdom. "You know, neither of you are considering the fact that I'm not going to be here forever. Even if I wanted that, it wouldn't be fair to him..."
Vivi and Nami looked at each other again, not amused this time as the lightness of the conversation disappeared with your words.
Unlike you, it was easy for them to forget that you had somewhere to return to.
After departing from Alabasta, none of you had expected to be trading one crew member for another.
But there was Miss All Sunday.
Nico Robin.
Initially, some of the crew had their reservations. You, however, only needed to hear Luffy's acceptance of her to get on board. He'd been right about Vivi before, so you didn't doubt that he was right about Robin.
There was also the fact that you were pretty certain you'd seen her with the crew before, or at least someone who looked very similar.
Robin leaned against a railing, looking out across the sea as the breeze blew at her hair. She was stunningly beautiful, you had noticed as much when she first appeared on the Merry to keep the crew from going to Little Garden. You almost didn't even want to bother her, but she spoke before you could think about leaving.
"You're staring."
"Well, you're very pretty."
Robin smirked, amused at your honesty. "Thank you."
You held up the two coffees you brought, coming to stand next to her as you offered one. Of course, she hadn't even been there a whole 24 hours and Sanji already knew how she took her drinks. "I thought you might like a coffee."
"I appreciate that," she said, taking the mug from you. She noticed the cloth sack hanging from your arm, and your eyes followed hers.
"Oh, I put this together for you." You took the bag by the handles and passed it over to her. "It's some of my shirts and pants. I don't mind sharing until you're able to go shopping."
Robin placed the bag at her feet. "That's...very kind of you."
"When I joined the crew, I only had the clothes on my back. But they let me borrow things until I could get my own. Just paying it forward, I guess," you said with a shrug. "So, you're an archaeologist, huh?"
"Yes. Since I was 8 years old," she said, taking a sip of her coffee.
Your eyes nearly bugged out of your head. "You earned a doctorate when you were 8? Wow, you must be really smart. Beauty and brains, that's a lethal combination."
"You flatter me."
"Just stating facts."
"And you?" She asked, turning to look at you. "What's your profession? Other than pirate."
"Ah, well..." How could you still say 'waitress' when she was an archaeologist? "I'm a doctor in training. I guess you could call me a nurse for now." You weren't completely positive how all of that worked, since apparently actual medical school wasn't going to be a thing for you. You supposed Chopper would be the judge of when you could call yourself a doctor, however long that would take.
Unfortunately, your experience wouldn't transfer well when you went back where you came from, but at least you'd be able to help your friends until then.
"Interesting," Robin said with a little smile.
"Very. Chopper's a great teacher." Ever since the day you asked to be his apprentice, he'd been taking your education very seriously. Not that he'd had a lot of opportunities, considering the battle in Alabasta, but he got in lessons whenever he could. "Do you mind if I ask you a question?"
"It depends on the question."
"What's up with your devil fruit power? You can just make arms sprout out of things?"
Robin had been expecting you to ask something much more serious, something she would not want to answer. So this innocent curiosity was quite welcome.
"I ate the Flower-Flower Fruit. It allows me to make any of my body parts 'sprout' from a surface, but my hands tend to be the most useful."
"Wait, so..." She could practically see the gears turning as you thought about her power. "Could you make a clone of yourself then?"
"Un fleur."
On your other side, another Robin appeared from the deck and gave you a little wink. And just as quickly, the clone disappeared again in a poof of pink flower petals.
"Neat," you said.
Not creepy. Not weird. Neat.
Robin just smiled.
Sanji always knew when there was someone in his kitchen. It was like another sense, a feeling scratching at the back of his mind. And it came in handy considering the insatiable hunger of his captain.
99% of the time, it did end up being Luffy trying to sneak a midnight meal.
But Luffy was there in the men's room, the top half of his body spilling out of his hammock and down into Usopp's as the both of them snored.
Clearly there wasn't an immediate threat to the food supply, but Sanji still found himself curious. It had to be one of the ladies, or mosshead.
He hoped it wasn't the latter.
Someone must have been listening to him, because it was you he found in the galley, sitting at the counter with an old leather bound book spread out to read.
Sanji leaned against the door frame, hands in the pockets of his pajama pants. He couldn't help speaking the truth. "What a heavenly beauty. I must still be dreamin'"
Your eyes snapped up from the book and over to him. "Did I set off your chef sense?"
"A bit, yeah." He pushed off the frame, casually making his way towards you. "What are you doin' up so early?"
"Studying. Chopper wants me to have this whole book memorized by the end of the week." Vivi and her father had been kind enough to send medical books with you and Chopper so you could continue your studies, so you'd been poring over them as much as you could since leaving Alabasta.
Sanji sat on the stool next to yours. "He also wants you to keep resting so you can recover. We all do."
"Well," you turned the page with a sigh. "I can't sleep. I'd rather study than lie around staring at the ceiling."
He had noticed that you'd seemed a bit tired lately. "Gettin' rid of that thing didn't help?" He asked, gesturing to his nose.
"The cannula was only a small part of the problem. I just can't stop thinking about..."
Sanji leaned in, concerned. "About what?" What could be bothering you so much that you were losing sleep?
"Did you know that the human body doesn't always have 206 bones?" you asked, a very obvious segue. One that Sanji hadn't been expecting.
"What?"
"There's a small range. Some people can have a different number of ribs or vertebrae. That's not even mentioning babies. They start with almost 300 bones that fuse together as they grow. Isn't that interesting?"
"It is." If you didn't want to talk about what was going on, he wasn't going to force it. That was a surefire way to keep you from opening up. But he hoped you knew that you could come to him whenever you were ready. "Chopper wants you to memorize every single one?"
"Yeah. And not just the bones themselves, but their anatomy too. The processes and fossas and foramens and all that. It's...a lot." And you weren't entirely sure you could have it all down as quickly as Chopper said, but you were determined to try.
Sanji rested his chin on his palm with a dreamy smile. "You know, I could listen to you talk about bones all day."
"You'd get bored eventually."
"No, I wouldn't," he said, getting up from his seat. "I'll be right back to start on breakfast, alright?"
You frowned. "It's a bit early for that, isn't it? You should go back to sleep for a while."
"And leave the embodiment of perfection all alone in my kitchen? That would be cruel to both of us."
"Okay, okay. I get it." You rolled your eyes with a smile. "Go get dressed. I'll be here."
Sanji left to get ready for the day, while you returned to reading your book. Once he wasn't there, the exhaustion started to weigh down your eyelids again. You fought hard against it and won, for a while at least.
Until he came back and got to work on brewing coffee and prepping breakfast.
The running of water. A knife against a chopping block. Fat sizzling in a hot pan. Your brain zeroed in on those sounds, finding comfort in them as your eyes finally fluttered closed.
What finally woke you was Luffy's cry of "MEAT!" as he barreled into the kitchen and saw a tray piled with bacon and sausage.
You blinked your sleepy eyes and reached to touch the fabric that had been draped over your shoulders at some point.
A familiar black suit jacket.
Yawning, you watched with amusement as Sanji fought Luffy off from devouring all of the meat before anyone else had a chance to eat.
Zoro's sword whipped through the air in front of you as he practiced on the deck, sending a small breeze your way with each stroke.
You'd been going back and forth between observing him and studying your anatomy for almost an hour now. Over that time, you'd cranked out quite a few diagrams and sketches. Drawing them yourself helped you remember them, you'd realized.
Nami had been happy to supply you with some of her paper and a drawing pen—in exchange for a portion of your allowance, of course.
You were drawing a lumbar vertebrae when Zoro plopped down about an arm's length from you, a sweaty sheen covering his skin.
"All done for today?" You picked up your ice cold glass of lemonade and offered it to him. He had to be thirsty, you knew you were whenever you trained. Not that you'd been able to do that recently.
"Yeah." Zoro said as he looked at the glass a moment before taking it and having a drink. Not the worst he'd ever had. "The cook'll have a fit if he finds out you're sharing your drink with me."
"He can deal with it."
Zoro smirked, leaning his head back against the wall.
The silence was nice. Comfortable. But there was a little something that had been bugging you since Alabasta.
"Zoro, you've killed a lot of people, right?" You turned your head to him.
Zoro opened his eyes back up and raised an eyebrow. "Yeah. Why?"
"Well, Nami and I killed Miss Doublefinger." The combination of a stab to the chest with the end of the axe that Usopp built for you and Nami's final move with the Climatact had finally taken her out after a long battle. "It was a kill or be killed situation, and I know it won't be the last. So does it get easier?"
"You're asking the wrong guy." The demon Roronoa Zoro had never found it all that difficult to kill scum like those from Baroque Works, or the countless pirates he'd turned in for their bounties.
"Yeah," you said, worrying your pen between your fingers. "You're probably right. I just never really thought about that part of being a pirate."
Zoro studied you a moment before shutting his eyes once more, crossing his arms over his chest. "You did the right thing. You kept yourself and Nami safe. That assassin wouldn't have lost any sleep if she'd killed you. You shouldn't either."
"I think I asked the right guy after all. Thanks, Zoro."
"Don't mention it," he grunted. And the next moment, he was sound asleep.
Typical.
As you put pen back to paper, Luffy's cry of your name made you jump, ruining the line you were drawing.
Before you knew it, he was on your opposite side, face nearly pressed to yours. A contrast to the respectful distance that Zoro had left when he sat down. Usopp followed close behind. "Hey, Usopp and I want to see who can do the most pushups. Come judge for us!"
You laughed, looking between the two of them. "Pushups? Really?"
"I know it sounds stupid, but it's actually really important," said Usopp.
"Guys, I'm studying."
Luffy groaned. "You're doing that all the time now! Can't you take a break?"
"Luffy..." The two of you stared each other down for several moments before you broke. "Okay, fine."
Luffy and Usopp both cheered.
"Quiet down, or you'll wake Zoro and he'll slice all of us to bits."
Usopp laughed. "That guy could sleep through a hurricane."
"It's true," Luffy added as he stood up and offered a hand to you.
You took it and he pulled you to your feet easily, your book and notes staying safely next to Zoro.
His earlier words echoed in your head as Luffy and Usopp dropped to the deck and started doing pushups. You did the right thing. You kept yourself and Nami safe.
Yeah, you knew you would do whatever you needed to protect these two dorks, and everyone else on the crew.
can you do a hc about how the strawhats would react to their crewmate that luffy picked up before entering the grand line because he was going to help them find their captain, actually finds the captain post timeskip and now they might leave the crew?
Hi, anon! I can definitely do this! Spoiler alert, you're not leaving. Also, I hope this is alright! I was struggling a bit with some of them as it is my first time writing for a few of them, but still, hope you enjoy!
Straw Hats x Reader (platonic!)
You hadn't expected the Straw Hats to become your family after you'd been separated from your crew but they had when you'd join them in Loguetown and then into the Grand Line. It might have only been a few months and Luffy said he'd help you find your captain but now that you had found your former captain, two and a half years later, you weren't sure you were going to leave.
Not when Luffy had believed in you, Nami had become your friend, Robin was your closet confidant, Zoro was the steady presence by your side, Sanji never failed to make you feel better when you were sad, Franky was always there with something new to show you, Usopp never failed to make you laugh, Chopper was so precious and sweet how could you not love him, and Brook was the newest member but he had been wonderful. You'd found your family and then you'd been separated and you'd gotten stronger but now...
You were sure the Straw Hats were your family and you didn't want to leave.
You'd been in shock as you made your way back to the Sunny after running into your former captain and as you told them what had happened.
Luffy
'if you want to go back, you can, but that's only if you want to'
Yet he didn't want you to go but he wouldn't stop you. You were family now, you were one of his, and he didn't want to lose you
Nami
'Did they even ask where you were?'
She's not happy with this development and she didn't like your former crew as it was.
'honestly, we could steal from them to charge them for the emotional damages that they caused you'
Zoro
'Tch. I don't see the appeal of them if they haven't check on you or tried to find you.
he's not thrilled but he's with luffy on this one, if you want to go, you can go
Sanji
Understands that you had wanted to find your former crew before but figured it was different now, yet he would be supportive of your decision
'its up to you, my dear whether you want to or not. but we're always here for you, don't forget that'
Franky
'they're SUPPERRRRR not cool'
but he's also supportive of your decision but he doesn't like your former crew at all
Usopp
'are you sure that's a good idea....i mean they did just kind of leave you...' LIKE HE'S ONE TO TALK BUT OKAY USOPP
he doesn't want you to go, you laugh at his jokes and listen to his stories and sometimes you believe them
Chopper
is sad, chopper is really sad and how could you do that to chopper?
'you're going to go back to them?' HE'S SAD NOW WHY IS HE SAD.
Brook
'yohohoho oh dear.'
Brook is saddened at the thought but he knows it is ultimately your decision yet he will miss you singing with him, dancing with the crew, and all the joy you brought
Robin
she's quiet, she's very quiet because the two of you were close, best friends even and she had heard you slowly not talk about your former crew until it was non existent almost but she wanted you to be happy
she gives you a smile
'do what makes you happy'
You smiled at all of them and shook your head. "I told them I found my family and that while I appreciated them, nothing would compare to all of you. You're my crew and I'm staying."
To make it short, you all partied your hearts out that night.
