Collect I

I felt as if the air itself conspired to hold me back Nothing I did felt right and the sky was always starkly black

What was once a straight line transformed to a mess, a simple plan turned so complex, A path that seemed so easy became one an intrepid explorer would vex

And then in a moment of silence, I recollect in the quiet The disparate motes form a pattern and I only needed to rest then spy it The once and future energy I held I have now firmly grasped again I know I would not be where I need yet to be without the help of my friends

A collective push and I’m back in the crash and crush I slide into all the right spaces and leave past days in the dust Though once I felt beset with impossible trials on each and every side I will enjoy the smiling days and ones still to arrive, as with bright sails my ship appears on the next tide
