It's called "Canada Knits : Craft and Comfort in a Northern Land" by Shirley A. Scott. It's on the shortish end and has more like, coffee table book vibes (it's like that kind of aspect ratio) but I found it fun to read thru and then look up more about the stuff I was interested in

That sounds amazing and I wish I had a recipe to share with you because that sounds like something I desperately need in my life.
If I come up with one I’ll definitely share it here! I figure I’ll start with a chess pie base and work on adultering it. (The real question: should I make a crust of crushed gingersnaps and crystalized ginger, or stick with a normal pate brisee?)

Ohhhhh! I had one I really liked that used creme fraiche but I lost it a while ago when I wiped my kindle and realized that the app in which I kept my recipes was no longer backing up to the cloud. This definitely sounds like something I’d be interested in!

These are absolutely terrifying and there is a small part of me that loves them.
They have others, too, but I loved these most. Cap's is particularly awful. It's the mouth, I think.
