I’ve never tried this myself so I can only hazard a guess, but it seems to be a state of balance between mental preparation, equipment readiness and proper technique. I often wonder what goes through drivers minds as they sit at the start line moments before leaving. I can only assume that it’s much like any professional athlete; pre-visualization, mental checklist and focus on the end goal, but that’s only a guess.
