I believe that this car is destined to be legendary. The Rolling Bones have built several legendary hot rods and this one (in my opinion) will be one for the history books–and it’s not even done yet. This is the car as she sat in January of 2018. It was sunset at El Mirage and the car had just spent a week as part of the retrospective of The Rolling Bones Hot Rod Shop at The Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, CA (my hometown). As I set up my Hasselblad (yes, I shoot film) loaded with the timeless Kodak Tri-X 400 film I wondered if there was enough light to get the photograph that I was hoping for as it was already much darker than this photo appears. You can see by the shadows that there was just enough light to give this shot a soft even light and a stunning SoCal evening light glow. It was so dark that I couldn’t really make out the clouds–which are quite rare at El Mirage–that were truly a gift from the photo Gods. It sounds like you’ll be able to see this car flying down the salt or the sand in pursuit of speed records in 2021 and I can’t wait. - - See and read more about this car in the Rolling Bones latest book GAS-OIL-WATER available in limited quantities at www.rollingboneshotrodshop.com/gear-barn/gas-oil-water. - - #rollingbones #hotrod #hotrodculture #speed #speedculture #elmirage #legndary #carsofinstagram #blackandwhite #monochrome #film #analog #ishootfilm #ishootfilm #hasselblad #mediumformat #square #photography #scottphotoco www.ScottPhoto.co (not .com) ©2020 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED (at El Mirage Off Highway Vehicle Recreation Area) https://www.instagram.com/p/CE7CU9bHkYN/?igshid=1mdz3q53zwh5z
