Today's card is the Red bellied black snake. This snake represents independence and holds a very strong female energy. It is a reminder that you don't have to do everything yourself or be alone in order to be Independant. Independence simply means that you are responsible for making your own decisions and living with the consequences of your own actions, surround yourself with those who allow you to live your life the way you want and will support you to be the strongest most independent version of you that you can be. The snakes specific colouring and energy has a strong feminine energy, it is a reflection of the strength of the women we surround ourselves with, those we descend from those we look up too and encourages an appreciation of female sensuality, sexuality and reproductive cycles. This snake often make an appearance when we or someone we love is moving through rights of passage such pregnancy, labour, first menses, during menopause, birth, and death, as well as honouring our ancestors or those connected to us via our blood line. Today's card is SEA TURTLE Sea turtles are associated with travel, both interstate and overseas. Because Sea turtles live so long they also represent the knowledge gained through life experiences, not only with in this lifetime, but also the knowledge and information imprinted from our ancestors at birth . Sea turtles travel far pushed along on the oceans currents but they will always return to the place they were hatched to lay their eggs and their children will do the same. It is because of this that they are also linked to family and home. Take heart in knowing that not all choices are yours to make. RIVER - MOVEMENT The best advice for the current energies is to just keep moving. Like the river which flows to the sea, we are also moving towards are destination. If life is just too crazy right now you may feel tempted to just try to stay still, hoping that if you don't do anything every thing will just stay the way it is now, safe and familiar. In truth stagnation leads slowly to decay. We must continue to move forward, we can meander and take the path of least resistance or we can slow right down to a trickle but we must continue to progress on our journey. At this time you are encouraged to ride the rapids of change and allow them to push you along giving you strength and momentum.
