Artwork by my Belarusian friend birb-o-fluff Dreamwar is a story of characters in time of tense change and eventual war, refusing to idly witness the cruelty of the world around them. Taking place in a different world from our own, one where both humans and anthro animals, called "uprights", exist. Set in a timeframe technologically equivalent to the early 1920s, and with a global war looming on the immediate horizon.
Mepria is a 21-year-old female cat upright from the nation of Ingastalli (a rough fictional equivalent of Italy) , a “humans first” nation.
A quieter, more stoic girl, the threshold for her to smile is set high, though it grows more easier after leaving her prior environment and as the series goes on. Naturally gifted at stonewalling any effort to get her to concede.
Up until episode 1, she had lived with her parents in the Upright segregated housing district of the port city Pecha. She grew up without electricity, as it had not entirely become common in Ingastalli yet to begin with, and even if it had been, most Uprights could not afford it.
Speaks Ingastalliano (Italian), can speak Wallaesh (English) pretty well, and can understand a fair bit of Fleuragnais (French).
Before immigrating in episode 1, she had taken over as the primary income earner for herself and her parents after her dad was barred from working as punishment for defending himself.
She immigrates to Denali after her parents plead with her to upon seeing the opportunity, and she very reluctantly leaves them behind when they choose not to come along.
Feels great internalized uncertainty and distress over wanting to be back where everything is familiar and everyone speaks her own language, but just as much wanting to remain in Denali where she is completely free. Struggles constantly with yearning for a place where her language is spoken and where uprights are also free and equal, but knowing that no such place at the time exists. She becomes driven by the desire for no one else to ever again be forced to feel like she has, or into a similar situation, leading to her joining the war.
Having loved the physicality, turn-leaning and wind-in-face of riding bicycles, she becomes drawn to aeroplanes upon seeing them in person for the first time, eventually becoming a biplane pilot as the war begins. She becomes part of Denali’s small, only air squadron, alongside Andim, Ash, and Ban.

Is there a more perfect image in existence? Superman and his WildStorm counterparts
Oh wait...
How about Superman, his two WildStorm counterparts, and Batman’s WildStorm counterpart giving him sass...
the only panel of Jenny talking about Superman that matters in this crossover.
