// What’s a party without a party dress? This dress I picked out from Anthropologie. It’s the first thing I’ve bought from Anthropologie since before Covid. I’ve pushed back the sleeves to be able to wear it now and left the neckline open, but going into the fall I’ll wear it with white booties and pull the sleeves down and tie up the neck. I also love the length of this dress. There’s so many times people fuss about the length of a dress on certain age women, because of rules set long ago. I’m one not to be critical, and I say to each his own. I do think this one’s perfect for those of you who have issues with a particular length. Although I see no limitations on what length skirt you choose to wear, as long as you feel good in it! When you feel great, you exude confidence and to me confidence is true beauty on a woman. It can make your best outfit look extraordinary! PS. This dress has pockets!! Oh, and one more thing. Last night was Paper Mill Playhouse's production of the world premiere of My Very Own British Invasion with book by Tony award-winner Rick Elice (Peter and the Starcatcher). This world-premiere musical tells a fable of young love, set against the backdrop of the exploding 1960s music scene – when England launched the little dustup that became known as the British Invasion. Based on the experiences of Peter Noone of Herman’s Hermits, who was just a teenager willing to sacrifice international stardom for the sake of girl he loves, the show features more than two dozen chart-topping hits from all the best British bands of the era. My Very Own British Invasion will be performed at Paper Mill Playhouse eight times a week, Wednesday through Sunday. Performance schedule: Wednesday at 7:30pm, Thursday at 1:30pm and 7:30pm, Friday at 8:00pm, Saturday at 1:30pm and 8:00pm and Sunday at 1:30pm and 7:00pm. Tickets are on sale now starting at $34.
