Look What We Sell! The Butterick Vintage Style ‘Patterns by Gertie‘ Sewing Patterns By Gretchen Hirsch
If you are a fan of Vintage style clothing then you will love the ‘Patterns by Gertie’ sewing pattern collection from Butterick.
We have 7 sewing patterns available in this line and they are all designed by Gretchen Hirsch (aka ‘Gertie’) who is a sewing blogger, sewing book author and sewing teacher. She loves retro style clothing and that was the inspiration for her starting her blog ‘Gertie’s Blog For Better Sewing’. She then became very popular (Not surprising at all....she has the most fantastic sense of style in her sewing!) and she then started to write dressmaking books and to teach others to sew.
Back in late 2012 the pattern line was launched by Butterick and the rest, as they say, is history!
The designs are absolutely stunning! You can see for yourself in the photo below...
The patterns in the collection are as follows (the description of each pattern is taken from reading Gertie’s blog posts about her dressmaking patterns) :-
