is the second album by Hellbastard.
The band's performance is more or less energetic at times, mainly more, and also powerful enough.
'Natural Order' is a good thrash album for sure.

News from Drag City that Alasdair and Karine Polwart will be releasing a split single in a month's time, along with fellow Archive Trailer, Drew Wright. Those of you who've been paying attention will recall that Alasdair and Karine have duetted on Captain Wedderburn's Courtship at at least one of their joint gigs. The flip side is The Dowie Dens o Yarrow, which I know from Karine's version a few years back, but here performed by Drew Wright. Cathal Coughlan, the feted Microdisney and Fatima Mansions singer, wrote a blog post to tie in with Alasdair's just-completed tour of Ireland with James Yorkston and Adrian Crowley:
Alasdair Roberts apparently hails from the interior of Scotland, but has excelled in matters maritime since migrating to the great port of Glasgow. He imbues every note he creates with mystery and hence with an implicit challenge to the listener. I first heard Alasdair’s former group Appendix Out on John Peel in the late Nineties, when his voice was one of the few unmediated human sounds on the show. I like to play Alasdair’s album The Amber Gatherers while charging my super-strength tazers in my newly-built base in an inlet near Schull. I once heard Alasdair sing an Abba song, and it wasn’t until the end of the first chorus that I realised it wasn’t an original, such was his unflinching delivery.
Those of you who've been paying attention will recognise that the song in question was The Day Before You Came, performed in London nearly a year ago (Coughlan was also on the bill that night).
I read it on Twitter so it must be true: "James Yorkston & Alasdair Roberts signing Bert Jansch tribute.. Fab!" date-stamped two days ago. Let's admit that it's not wildly implausible. If anyone can provide corroboration and further details, they would be most welcome.

Rob kindly forwarded me this mailing from Drag City, which briefly mentions a split single featuring Alasdair and Drew Wright, due for release in November. I'm guessing this is linked to the Archive Trails project, since Alasdair and Drew are two thirds of the creative team on that (and there may also be an Archive Trails tour around that time).
Now the evenings are drawing in, the librarians have added new, if half-baked, pages to the concordance project.
