little did you know ✿ drew
tori: there’s the rush of water, the chirp of crickets, the perfect soundtrack as twilight turns to pitch black. she sits with her feet stuck in the venus de milo fountain outside of the zeta house, a copy of audition open on her lap. it’s become a ritual of sorts, when the weather’s nice and she’s all alone. but solitude doesn’t last long. she sees the headlights first, through the tiny slits in the white picket fence that separates their front yard from the back. and despite knowing that she has explaining to do, a tentative smile turns the corners of her lips upward. “marco!” she calls wiith her hands cupped around her mouth, standing at the edge of the fountain on her tiptoes to get a peek of ocean blue eyes before they have the chance to spot her. once he finally finds her she poses like venus in the half shell, light and airy despite anything she’s gone through, or is going through. “do we look alike?” she asks, ankle-deep next to the marble figurine.
jake: "so what'd you get for question 4?" he says, laptop on his stomach as he tries to think of a solution. he's a wiz at business and even English, but math? Not his strong suit. jake doesn't spend too much time at the alpha house, but he doesn't mind spending some time catching up with a friend and studying. though the look in his eyes makes him question if he should really be going to drew torres for math answers. "you know what? never mind. study break?"

bianca: was always glad when drew wanted to hang out, and she felt like they both just needed a moment to chill together right now. she didn't plan on bringing his brother up, it wasn't something she wanted to talk about anyway. her small studio within the dorms was looking a mess and she sort of cleaned up- well, she at least put all her dirty laundry in the basket and cleaned any dirty dishes. clean enough for drew torres. hearing a knock at the door, she opened it up and ushered him in, "hey there, jailbird." she smiled, a look of amusement on her face, "oof, it kinda looks like your time in jail took a toll on you." she teased him playfully, "i'm only kidding. i'm a very happy girl to see you and you look better than ever. mainly because you're holding a pizza box in your hands." she laughed, grabbing the box from him to place it on her coffee table before plopping herself down on the loveseat.

tori: "one for you" she tosses a green grape in drew's mouth with expert precision, even though he never ever misses. "one for you" this one falls in front of them, for the one greedy duck that won't leave them alone even after she pretended not to have anymore fruit to spare. in this case persistence really does pay off. "and one for me" she pops it into her mouth and giggles. despite the heaviness of today, the park is serene. one of her favorite places to come when she has a lot to think about, or maybe wants to stop thinking altogether. and she hoped drew could benefit from some semi-quiet time, save for the light strumming of a ukelele a few paces behind then and her occasionally interjecting with contemplative commentary. "these ducks have it good, huh? swim around all day and let the food come to you"

she decides to bump into him when she sees him crossing the long stretch of green in front of the library. “hey” she nudges against his shoulder with a radiant grin and a purple composition book tucked underneath her arm. “where you headed right now? let’s get ice cream” she says with hopes that he’s not beelining to his next lecture, and even if he is that maybe he’ll skip it just this once.

jake: i'm done.
jake: you won.
retcon ✿ drew
tori: she waits for him, like she said she would. behind the bar with a glittery purple money pouch tied snug around her waist and one curly tendril falling free from her updo. it's a particularly slow night, which prompts her dark hues to occasionally flutter toward the kitschy clock at the back of the place, for a while she anticipates him not coming, perhaps as his form of payback. she's pleasantly surprised however when he actually shows up, grinning earnestly as he takes one of the empty seats across from her. but her unpracticed reaction only lasts so long before she realizes that getting him here was the easy part, now she actually has to figure out what to say. never quite one for planning or even merely thinking ahead, she just begins mixing the drink she promised him and arches one meticulously shaped brow, "for a second there i thought you were gonna stand me up--"
