Okay the jump scare reaction was cute. Being stuck working at that high end place was not... easy from what Shay could tell. She was still surprised Del had stayed all things considered, but it had been years. Yet somehow the more things changed, the more some stayed the same.

"A shady but cool bar huh? Sounds like the kind of place you can get into a scrap without consequences."

That's just how these two were.

There was still the other small problem Shay had to deal with in her own head. She's fidgeting with something in her pocket. She's looking more at the ground as they walk to wherever Delphie is taking them.

Well, just get it over and done with.

"Hey Delphie, I know it's been awhile... are you seeing anyone, like... in a serious way?"

Earnesty was not a familiar tone on Shay's tongue.

"If you are, that's great! If not, that's... kind of what the question was leaning to. If that's not the kind of thing..."

As calm, polite and professional as she seems, Delphie was clearly stressed. Jacinthe asked her to put purple flowers all over town for Valentine ( something about promoting a special couples tournament? ) , so she had but a few seconds to actually drop one of said flowers and a pack of gourmet chocolates in Shay's arms.

AND OFF SHE GOES AGAIN she's now 4 seconds too late on her schedule!

Delphie never really found (read: had with her no second to spare) time on her schedule to see Shay about anything. So colour her surprised when she drops by with something in her arms. Colour her even more surprised when Shay realizes it is actually Delphie who somehow found her in the middle of the city to drop this stuff off.

That colour is a very strong blush red, by the way.

Of course, Havoc thinks Shay's reaction is hilarious. Shay nudges the Hacorus to stop snickering as they get back to their hotel room.

There is no way in hell Delphie would risk seconds being late for Shay if it wasn't a good reason.

Luckily, the universe says Shay is not that oblivious.

Delphie will see the text when she's off work.

Realizing that she accidentally asked a long lost friend on a date.
