⠀my wife.....
Her husband!
"I see we once again cannot trust men with solid blue hair and pronouns."
The joke is dead, universe. Get new material!
your muse is suddenly in the first fandom you got into! how are they doing? would they be an important character? if their canon verse is your first fandom too, make it the latest you got into instead!
I would say the first fandom I was in was Pokemon but. But. We are going back to the 90's when Stabi was a wee bab.
Anyway, Shay would be pretty okay as a dragon in the Spyro universe. OG trilogy. Bog chilling in the Beast Makers realm. No one particularly important gets turned to crystal. The games back then were a much simpler time. Would not be surprised if she tended a flock of sheep and made wool clothing for no other reason than she could.
And no I do not care if this is more dragon Shay content, I wrote this agenda.
"I dare a malevolent Malamar to try."
There is someone waiting in there.
hi everyone.
so I recently got evicted from my apartment and having after paying rent for that place, I now need to pay rent for the new one I'm moving into - which don't quite have enough for at this moment of time.
I can offer basic rp icon making and maybe edits depending on my free time but if anyone can donate a small bit to help out I'd appreciate it.
my ko-fi is here, my paypal is here.
Lucas.
"None of you fuckers are okay huh."
At the daycare, a dozen or so zigzagoon await at the door, having rapped against it aggressively in an attempt to gain Shay's attention. They wait for her to emerge to a world of pouring rain and distant thunder. It's stormy, but the pokemon seem anxious, and as many of the zigzagoon scatter, a pair remain, darting towards the nearby forest before pausing to wait for Shay to follow. Provided she heeded their call, they would lead her to a clearing amidst the forest, where a torn net looms over the injured frame of a Latias. The net is long since frayed and destroyed, severed open by sharp teeth and claws, but the pokemon that had been trapped within lay unconscious.
Shay doesn't often get the Zigzagoon crew clawing at her door. Trinket and Merch weren't typically raiding the house without good reason, so colour her surprised when she finds both the shiny Zigzagoons practically clawing at her door. The storm had lulled her to sleep, but it was one hell of a mess outside.
"What's gotten in to you guys..."
Of course she follows to the door and sees where the other bits of the pack are going. It doesn't take her more than a moment to put two and two together, grabbing her boots, bag and hoodie and throwing them on as quickly as possible.
-
She's already muddy and damp by the time she pushes her way through floral obstacles to the site where Trinket and Merch are laying beside something red and white... nets ravaged by their teeth and claws. That was no typical poaching net either, whoever did this really wanted whatever Pokemon this was.
It looked unconscious... and there was no telling if any of it was severely injured. It was going to be an onsite shelter by the looks of it. Shay pulls out a Quick Ball from her pack and releases her Galvantula, fur bristling in the stormy air and giving out bright squeaks untl she sees the sight in front of her.
"I'm gonna need you to start working on a blanket, Cayci." She pulls out another ball, a Dusk Ball and releases Riuda, who yawns and then grumbles at the damp. "You need to start digging a dugout and get the water to funnel away from this..."
Shay stops and takes the time to look. Not a Pokemon native to here... at least she thought. It was familiar... hadn't she seen these before...
... wait Altomare had statues of these. A Latias?!
"Well shit. At least you had some good grace in landing here of all places." Lastly, she lets out her Charizard, who looks confused, but takes in the situation quicker than the others.
"Can you lay next to her and keep her warm? We don't want to risk hypothermia. Should warm up that down of hers as well while we get a shelter started. Cayci needs to work on making a websilk blanket to retain any heat."
This wasn't her idea of waking with the dawn but a Pokemon in need was a Pokemon in need.
What's your muse LEAST favorite Pokèmon AND Type? It could be a Pokèmon they don't see themselves use, be afraid of, or openly dislike. And no easy answer! I won't believe you if you say you like all!!
Shay's least favourite Pokemon is U. Necrozma because it did almost uber giga kill her in nowhereland. Nothing is ever gonna beat that. Before that her least favourite was Sigilyph because... what is it? What is that. Unova are you okay-
Her least favourite type is Fairy and before you say 'oh of course the dragon specialist doesn't like the fae' - First, Shay isn't a dragon specialist in terms of type, she is a specialist in the Monster/Dragon Egg Group.
She doesn't like the type because of the type of intelligence it has. Anything with the capacity for unnecessary cruelty really doesn't sit comfortably with her. She can rationalize some cruelty with every other type being instinct related or trauma related. Even with ghost types there is some rationale behind it. Fairy? The spectrum of intelligence is too broad, almost random for her liking.
It's why she has only a few Fairy types of her own, and her most evil and devious one is an Azumarill named Puka. No one fucks with Puka.
Hey guys I'm not dead I just have digimon brainrot and lungs that want to keel over and die
Shay, do you believe you've been unfair to others in the past?
Personal Questions [Gimme]
"Unfair? Not to people. To some Pokemon when I was younger, yeah. Thing about life is that, it isn't fair. I don't owe anyone anything that isn't someone I care about. I'm a bitch, but I'm not an asshole. I'm rough, firm, blunt and direct, but not unfair with people.
"Unkind however? Yeah, I've been unkind to people in the past. Like I said, I'm a fucking bitch. I know it. The only way someone would describe me is warm is by my internal temperature. Another thing about life is that it is also unkind. That's what makes kindness so important. It's a gift you can give to anyone. I struggle with it, but I'm not entirely cold."
"I haven't been the same person I was since my dad died. That shit changes a person. I'm not going to apologize for it." Too late for all that anyway.
Ask my muse personal questions!
Time to pry into their life.
They blink slowly, a soft sigh escaping his lips. Back then... she managed to defeat Lance, someone Silver still sees as his white Wailord, with a team of not fully evolved Pokèmon. Twice. For some reason, they didn't feel cheered up at all. Wonder why!
Still, they couldn't help but show the tiniest of smirks at her last comment. Right.
"You're still in time to fight Gold, if you want, you know?
Just don't tell him you want him to go all out. Unless you want to risk being burned to a crisp by god."
--he bites his tongue before he could add 'again'.
She never claimed to be good at this. In fact she often claimed that she was very bad at cheering people up. Still, Shay was never one to not try.
She sighs at the thought of battling Gold, as she knows how he gets after even training battles. "The problem with that is he's going to really want to, because he knows I can do it. If I don't he's just going to give that Growlithe-face and whine about it."
He was always a go big or go home kind of guy. Very much not utilizing the second option. Not to mention Shay had, by technicality, a bigger god to fight back with but for obvious reasons, she wasn't gonna do that.
"I'm not worried about being able to beat Ho-oh, it's not destroying the entire League building. Oton expects one of us to have some self restraint, and it isn't Mister Champion. Anyway, we aren't talking about him, we're talking about you. C'mere."
Shay lacked in wordly comfort she could make up for in gestured comfort. Even if it was putting Silver in a silly little headlock that turned into another awkward hug.
"I'm shit at this, but like Gold, I'm gonna help take care of you just the same. Not because I think you can't do it, because yo deserve a good support system. You have time to sort the rest of your shit out and you don't have to be perfect about it. You've come a long way from being a moody asshole in a cave and you should be proud of yourself."
A pause, unable to resist some teasing.
"You're now a normal, slightly less moodier asshole."
Shay will let Silver properly retaliate for that one, it is what they deserve.
"You know, we haven't ever had a proper battle in all this time."
Not commenting on her kissing ability at all.
"A SHINY POKEMON . . . so they don't normally have those colors, do they?" Intriguing. If not for that prior indication, Nata would have never realized that this was a shiny pokemon he was looking at. He'd never seen a ralts before, even in pictures.
Having crouched low to make himself appear as friendly as possible, Nata hugged his knees to his chest, tilting his head slightly as he followed the subtle, nervous moments of the psychic type before him. "I've read about pokemon such as Hatenna, that can sense the emotions of people. I've never seen a ralts before, though . . ."
The comment gets him to raise his brows a little. Maybe he wasn't too confident in himself, but Nata was certainly moved to hear that Shay thought he was good with more shy, quiet pokemon. It did sort of check out—his methods had earned the affections of a shy little azurill. If it hadn't ultimately bonded to someone else, Nata might have been convinced to keep it.
So, after giving Shay one final glance over his shoulder, he scoots a bit closer to the ralts hiding in the plush box. It seems to sink deeper into its hiding space, and slump against the wall.
. . . No sharp movements. No loud sounds, either. Nata knew what it was like to get overstimulated . . .
@murmursdraconic // continued
Shay watches Nata move slowly towards the box. Knowing exactly what he's up to, Shay continues to talk as if she isn't watching. No need to give the Ralts any suspicions that he was currently in the proverbial spotlight.
"Yep, shiny Pokemon are very rare, and people will do not great things to get them. It's a real shame, but it is why I have so many Charmanders. I held a lot of them back because they were shiny, and people tend to get the wrong ideas about them."
The Ralts peeks from behind the side of the box and shudders a bit, frightened by Nata suddenly paying attention to him. Luckily for Nata, not so luckily for him, he can only press himself more inside the plush toy.
"Typically they are green with red horns, not blue with orange ones. Males are the only ones that can evolve into Gallade, making them more popular with guys who want to be real big macho men, leaving Gardevoir more traditionally seen as a feminine Pokemon. Male Gardevoir do exist of course but that won't stop people.
Back to playing tug of war with one of her orange children, singing the tough hemp rope a bit.
The Ralts peeks out again very slowly, still seeing Nata there. He trembles a little, unsure of what to do but not wanting to use Teleport. Negative reinforcement from using one of it's most basic skills was a true sign of mistreatment, but in this case Nata may have been able to make some progress.
"If you've got a few more snacks in your pocket, it may help. They don't look like it, but they do have eyes under those caps of theirs."
The mental image of a Malamar trying to mentally control Shay and hearing Eldritch Satan go 'Occupied' as a result is really funny to me.
A scoff.
"It's you guys' fault. I used to be good at-
--akgh!"
Ah. This was a trap. As soon as her knuckles find his hair, he brings both hands on her arm, struggling to break free and quietly fixing himself as she... makes fun of him??? Rude. That necessitates a Silver-brand scowl and a second groan, letting the silence fall.
"...you did?"
--at least until she reveals that little thing about herself. He shouldn't be surprised. Lance was strong, but not as unbeatable as many other Champions sometimes seem to be. ...he's going to keep that thought for himself.
"I... didn't know that, no. I probably missed that..."
"I did." She affirms, letting him be free. At least that temporarily got him out of his funk. "And no, you didn't miss it. We didn't advertise it publicly."
"Oton has the recording though and definitely advertising it in his office. I could have been the Champion before Gold took up the spot but I didn't. Too much wanderlust in me. Too much bureaucracy. Asharas wasn't even a Charizard yet, and Riuda was still a Pupitar. Riptide was still on my team too. Back when things were a little simpler around here."
Back when her blood father was still alive.
"Then, handful of years later, I did the circuit again, same result. Wanted to make sure I was still good at it when I hit the big twenty. Still did, still before Gold was around I think? Or he was away or something. Still haven't battled him properly yet."
Anyway not the point of the reminiscing and sympathizing bit.
"Even after all that and with the family business coming and going, kind of still finding what I'm wanting to fulfill that life dream niche with." She looks at him with a softer but reassuring gaze. "Then you and your little band of chaos crashed in."
Look at Shay, being a reassuring yapper for once.
