Twin brother of Taylor Marshall-Green, he attended high school in Rhode Island and earned his Master's in Fine Arts from New York University's Graduate Acting Program at the Tisch School of the Arts. Graduating from University of Tennessee, Knoxville where he studied Literature, he also played "Beethoven" in the Off-Broadway play, "Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead", at the Century Center for the Performing Arts (New York, NY 2005) He has a daughter and son with his wife Diane Marshall-Green. He made a few appearances in Law and Order, before landing recurring roles on The O.C. (2003) and 24 (2001). His breakthrough role came in Ridley Scott's Prometheus (2012). He also portrayed Will in the horror-thriller The Invitation(2015) He starred in the scifi body horror film Upgrade(2018). His directorial debut drama film was Adopt a Highway, starring Ethan Hawke and Betty Gabriel, and produced by Jason Blum through Blumhouse Productions. As the Archeologist and partner of Elizabeth Shaw, Dr Charlie Holloway he was driven to smash all man made religions on a quest to get answers. But at the hands of David, suffered a horrible fate, dying slowly and painfully first by being poisoned, then set alight by Vickers.
