Decorative Dried Lemon and Lime Slices Dried lemon and lime slices are easy to make and the process will leave your kitchen with a wonderful scent. Use them as a pretty addition to an elegantly wrapped gift, or incorporate them into table centerpieces by using ribbon or string to hang slices from candle holders or flower arrangements.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F.
Thinly slice lemons and limes. The thinner they are the faster they will dry (less than ¼ inch slices are best).
Place a cooling rack over a sheet pan and arrange the slices in a single layer on the rack. This keeps them elevated while drying so that air can get underneath the fruit slices. Dry in the oven for about 2 hours. Remove when completely dry, and cool before adding them to your gift or decoration.
*We recommend using lemons and limes from Paramount Citrus. They are consistently vibrant and colorful and available at most major grocery, mass and club retailers.
