Antiques, Fine Art and Design weekend is over @gcma_sc ...until me next year at this time...we will be celebrating the 35th year next year BUT...until then- I have to snap to it and get urns re-done for the museum opens back up to the public tomorrow ...you see these dried Sago Palm fronds?????.. about 5 years ago, I think , my sister, @riveroakscharleston, (she of the wildly sought after wedding venue, at her gorgeous home) , who lives in the low country, sent me up lots of low country foliage for an opening event I was doing for an artist’s exhibition @gcma_sc ...since the artist painted lots of beach type work from the Bahamas and Florida I thought assorted palm fronds would be perfect...(which there was a car load of...low country bugs and all!!!) ..after the big opening event I put these fronds in my flower room @gcma_sc and left them..they turned from green to this wonderful beigey/gold color...this was a quick do for sure , which will carry me until I change our for more of a holiday look...dried hydrangeas and dried palm fronds don’t exactly seem as if they might work but this is one of my most favorite I have done in quite awhile...could be because it came together in about 15 minutes...the hanging Amaranthus is also left over from florals a dealer had in their booth so I wedged it in as well. #deborahgibsondesign #riveroakscharleston #gcma_sc #sagopalm #driedhydrangea #hangingamaranthus (at Greenville County Museum of Art) https://www.instagram.com/p/B37zuvzjpxZ/?igshid=gwzx4yvlbz7g
