the truth is they’re a long way from the safety of lizzie’s bar, they’re beyond the neon lights of the shopping district and into the abyss of jagged, craggy skylines of the largely abandoned pacifica neighborhood. empty, decrepit hotels crumbling as they watch over night city’s once promising ocean front. those days are long behind the district, but she remembers this place vividly, the way her mother would bring her down here, she’d made a deal with the voodoo boys for when she came down to allow them safety at the shore. to allow candy to be just another kid at the ocean. to have the illusion of peace not tainted by intermittent violence.
❛ pacifica, a dream never fully realized. ❜ candy explains as she walks down concrete stairs. ornate bannisters that never saw the hands of execs and corpos. a dream that crescendos into a gangland playground, a vagrant’s nightmare; where angels come to die. she sits on the last step that leads to the gray beaches, the obelisk that would once be the crowning jewel of this area; the grand imperial mall, sits to the left of them. this place has seen better days. ❛ this is one of my favorite places in all of night city. deadly, but haunting. ❜

“Sounds like you lost someone too.” Saying goodbye to Jackie was hard enough, V can’t imagine losing someone and being unable to say goodbye to them. Living life as a street kid, she’d never actually allowed herself to get close enough to anyone until Jackie. She’s just glad she got to say goodbye, got to go to his funeral. “You, uh, maybe wanna talk about it?”

/ i still haven't beaten the game yet and i'm nervous to find out how everything ends skdjdjfkf
only reason I finally went for the ending was because otherwise I'd have ended up in a situation like back when I first playthrough'd Dragon Age: Inquisition. Because that legit took me over a year to beat the main story due to me constantly making new characters half way through a playthrough. So for CP2077 I was just like: “I need to beat the game at least once before I make anymore characters.”

LOL thank ya!! I did finally decide to just suck it up, and have this be a Corpo!V blog. I just now need to fully flesh out everything of what her life was like prior to the start of the Corpo lifepath. xD
