Aaouauaugh this is late on here, but aaaaaa I made something :3
Anyway what do you do when you like one ship from one continuity and a different one from another continuity? That’s right, you make both of them happen in your continuity ٩( ᐛ )و yippie! Three cute old man robots oh boy! Yay!
Uh a couple different versions of it and me rambling like a madman ahead—
First one has a heart in the background but I lowkey didn’t like the color I picked for it and then couldn’t change it so yeah whatever. Second one is just the artwork without any of the lighting effects put onto it :)
Anyway the thought process was the two reasons I’ve already mentioned, but then also the fact that this would kinda work out as like the first person Drift proved right and the first person he proved wrong if that makes sense. Like Ratchet was super supportive and told him he was special after joining the Autobots, but then Ironhide would be one of the first people he was deployed with who was skeptical and distrusting of him.
Started thinking about potential Drift ships and my brain settled on Ironhide/Drift for a little bit before realizing that’s basically hound/drift again but a little to the left 😂 Like oh, big tough guy who’s actually more of a big softie than he likes to admit? That sounds familiar….
But it does makes for a very funny concept of Drift and Hide having a fling at some point and then Drift later ending up with Hound. The ‘Our guy here has a type’ progression lmao
I feel like bay Drift would be the type to think any bot competent with a weapon is hot. He sees a big bot with big guns, and the confidence that comes from knowing what the hell he’s doing, and from there is constantly keeping that bot in his peripheral. Just watching. :3c
Hound would definitely be the more abrasive one, while Ironhide is more mellowed. Ironhide and Drift would definitely hit it off easier, but still after some time has passed. Ironhide would be wary of Cons. (Maybe he can smell it on Drift still, like all Decepticons have this scent about them, and it takes a while for it to go away.)
