Mabel and Dipper are put in the care of Stan due to an accident that killed their parents.
One day 5 year old Mabel runs into the forest. Stan leaving Dipper in the care of Soos follows her. When he catches up to her he sees a wormhole. In the wormhole he sees Ford fighting Bill. Just before the wormhole is closed by Bill, Mabel walks into the wormhole.
When Dipper turns 12 Stan tells him the truth. Dipper starts helping Stan with the portal. Dipper also finds Jornal 3 around this time.
Mabel and Ford come back when the twins are 14. Mabel struggles to adapt to life on earth and starts to miss her life pre portal incident. Bill uses this to manipulate Mabel into causing Weirdmageddon. Mabel then struggles with telling anyone that she wasn't fully manipulated by Bill. Bill obviously decides that this should be the first thing he tells Ford when they next meet.
Dipper is still really passionate about the supernatural and the jornals. Ford starts spending a lot of time with him. Mabel at first is ok as she recently got Waddles but as time goes on she starts feeling like she has been forgotten.
It is a mix between Drifting stars and Reunion falls.

Ford has a habit of leaving young Mabel alone. Mabel being Mabel will often go out and explore (there main base is in the nightmare realm) this leads to Bill having to return Mabel to Ford. Young Mabel sees both Ford and Bill as her family.
Dipper actually befriends Gideon and Pacifica by the time Mabel comes out of the portal

He laughed to himself. Ignorant Fordsy, Shooting star feels so out of place. He knows if he plants doubt within her mind she would release the rift. She is alone, out of place. All he needs to do is wait for the right moment. Poor Shooting star.
Chapter 5: Dipper (the hand that rocks the Mabel [will be drastically changed])
Chapter 6: Dipper (irrational treasure)
Chapter 7: dipper/Mabel (the time travelers’ pig [Mabel gets waddles]) Summary: Mabel finds out pigs exist and really wants one. She manages to get to earth and finds Waddles. But some boy with a pine tree (interesting) hat and a red-haired girl keep getting in her way. That’s when she runs into Blendin, Mabel proceeds to steal the time tape to make sure that blonde girl doesn’t get Waddles first. Ford is not happy when he finds out but now, we get space Waddles. Dipper is wondering who that girl in a coat is and why she seems so annoyed at him.

Chapter 10: Dipper/Mabel (land before swine [Dipper and Mabel run into each other]) Summary: Mabel accidently returns to earth and Waddles gets kidnapped by a tetradactyl, enlisting the help of the weird boy from last time, a fun girl/ boy (Mabel is confused) and a now crazy Fiddleford (Ford’s going to be sad) They go rescue Waddles. Dipper is just wondering how he and Grenda got into this mess, why the girl is covering half her face and why does she keep calling Old Man McGucket, Fiddleford (Even McGucket is confused)

Bill and Ford: to exs that hate each other trying to deal with a child (Mabel)
Pacifica and Mabel: starts with Mabel trusting no one and Pacifica thinking Mabel is annoying. Ends with Mabel saving Pacifica's life and Pacifica relizing she is a lesbian
Mabel and Bill: Mabel knows Bill is evil and only wants to use her but she finds comfort in the fact he doesn't belong to earth. He also the reason why Mabel is so chaotic
Mabel and Ford: Mabel and Ford have a really cute family relationship. Once on earth Mabel starts feeling abandoned by Ford, as Ford always told her not to trust anyone but now is spending a lot of time with all these people she doesn't know. This leads to Bill manipulating her into starting Weirdmageddon
Dipper and Mabel: Mabel tolerates Dipper as he seems really excited to see her but as time goes on Mabel beings to resent Dipper as she sees him as the main reason Ford has abandoned her
